It's Quiet the £250m return

Think Nunes is now a right back ,great one maybe not, but in my opinion a better one than Frimpong.

Our fans hate our 5ft 7 lightweight right back but think Liverpool have improved by signing a 5ft 7 lightweight right back, known for his attacking more so than his defending.

Make it make sense.

Probably because he has proved his worth in Germany and has looked very good. Ours hasn't. Time will tell if Frimpong will cut it in the prem.

There’s a reason we let him go to Scotland and have kept Rico. Time will reflect kindly upon Rico Lewis when all is said and done.

It’s not nonsense though is it? We’ve ended up with Nunes, Kovacic and Doku haven’t we? Even if you say the midfielders weren’t possible Olise was definitely available

You can't sign players that don't want to come to you, and you can't base a players' supposed interest on what a newspaper or an ITK says. "Agreeing terms" is a fancy way of saying that the club know what the player wants to be paid via the agent, and are prepared to pay that.

Yeah, if they don't win it this year then Arteta will be out imo.
Very strong squad
Very strong squad built over a dozen transfer windows. Spent £1.1bn in his time as manager. His top three sales are merely Balogun, Smith-Rowe and Nketiah - it's hardly a case of offloading the likes of Laporte, Palmer, Mahrez and losing Gundogan all in one summer, having already offloaded Jesus, Sterling and Zinchenko the summer beforehand. He's thrown money at a squad without having to make any sacrifices. He has no excuses at all for not winning the league this year. None at all.

The short answer is no they haven't.

Kerkez / Frimpong are not upgrades on their previous players. Kerkez looks a liability tbh.

Wirtz replaces the creativity of TAA but at a structural / tactical cost.

They've lost Dias, Jota, Nunez and signed Ekitike and potentially Isak. But neither of those lads are going to play on either wing.

Guehi is another overrated English player who is pretty well protected in the Palace back 5. He's shit in the air but decent on the ball.

VVD isn't going to get better, he's going to get worse. Konate has started the season like he's Mangala's little brother.

The fluffing of Liverpool is all down the noise around Isak and the early signing of Wirtz. But overall if you listen to their own supporters, they aren't happy. Isak isn't anywhere near enough to cover their weak spots.
This mirrors the views I shared earlier on in the window.

Rico Lewis has won the treble, playing minutes in all the competitions leading to that treble. His introduction to the team was key to turning that season around in a moment where it looked like it might go wrong.

I've been surprised how few people have cottoned on to their overall rebuild and how different their team is this season to last. Slott won the title with Klopp's team playing Klopp football. This season we'll see what Slott's football is all about and we're seeing his ideas around squad building.

Not really. We were all wrecked after losing at Spurs and the charges being announced the next day. The following Sunday, we trounced Villa and Ruben Dias (back in the days when he knew how to play) returned to the team. Our renaissance in the spring of 2023 had nothing to do with Rico Lewis, although he did well that season for such a young lad.

I personally think its been a bit of a shit show of a summer transfer window.

I like Reindeers, but am a bit so so re Cherki.

We need some physical players who are fast and get stuck in.

Not been a shit show but it's not been good enough to win the league in my opinion.

Rodri will unlikely to be back to his best for another six months to a year. Anyone expecting him to be back to his best so soon will likely be disappointed.

So we needed another midfielder as Nico is too inexperienced for that role. Should have gone after Baleba.

Another solid defender too as we can't rely on Stones.

Think it will take another summer window to repair the damage of keeping players too long and buying substandard players.

How long do certain players get to dine out on the treble. Making out like Lewis was instrumental is fucking insane btw.

Glued to the bench in the CL final and FA cup final.

Had a few minutes when we were a super team and could carry him.

If we get back to 2023 levels then yeah keep him around, homegrown, cheap and doesn't mind filling in but hes not a starting RB in this league.

We also have let quite a few well established players go who we had who have flourished elsewhere. City not giving youngsters a platform isn't a stick to beat the actual players with.
I can't say I seen loads of Frimpong but clearly he was good going forward and not so much defensively, as I say we will soon find out if he is Prem quality.

I think the December - February run that he plays in is crucial to keeping us there or thereabouts in the chase for the title, and actually the Spurs turnaround for me is the point at which the team wakes up.

Lewis is still only 20/21 it’s mad some fans writing him off he is a top quality squad player and again wolves is a prime example why he is one of the players in our squad that you need to keep!

Unless he grows about 4inches and gets himself on some tren, what does age matter?
