It's Quiet the £250m return

So Olise, Bellingham and Rice wanted to come to us? It's not like cans of beans in Tesco where if you pay the price you can just take them.
Olise most definitely did and we used Rice as a backup plan so we probably didn’t try to agree personal terms. If you believe Tolmie we agreed personal terms with Bellingham

We’ve been stingy for the right players for the past two years. We could’ve gotten Olise for 65m but we chose to spend 60m on Doku. 40m on any midfielder other than Kovacic and 55m on any other player than Nunes improves us. We didn’t want to fork over the money for Bellingham and Rice and that’s why we are in this mess

Not a word of this is true. All nonsense.

Happy with the window. We ‘could’ have signed a RB but pretty sure someone on the RB options thread proved there’s not a lot out there.

The new signings we’ve made look very good, I’m not allowing the annual shit show against spurs to cloud my judgement on that one. We signed 3 players (I think) that have come into the team and improved us all for less than what Wirtz cost Liverpool.

That’s good business.

8/10.

Have I missed the weekend? Is it Tuesday morning already

How are their windows better long term than ours combined? Will it be enough to win it this season maybe maybe not and that's okay but for the next 5 years ours is better.

If you analyse the Liverpool squad properly they're weaker than last season even with Isak and Guehi. Trent/Wirtz is a net zero when you consider how important Trent was to their creativity. When you look at how playing with a 10 has unsettled their structure you could argue that even though Wirtz is a fine player, by unbalancing the team they've gotten worse. Losing Diaz/Jota and bringing in two number 9's is a weird move. Kerkez is wank. Frimpong's hamstrings are gonna be Swiss cheese by the end of the season.

Arsenal have lowkey had an excellent window. But so have we.

Agreed we got great value for the 3 players

If we'd gotten a right back of the levels we've hit with Reijnders/Ait Nouri/Cherki/Marmoush it would be a 10/10 window.

Although the Ederson uncertainty is annoying.

Have the scousers upgraded though given what they’ve lost?

The short answer is no they haven't.

Kerkez / Frimpong are not upgrades on their previous players. Kerkez looks a liability tbh.

Wirtz replaces the creativity of TAA but at a structural / tactical cost.

They've lost Dias, Jota, Nunez and signed Ekitike and potentially Isak. But neither of those lads are going to play on either wing.

Guehi is another overrated English player who is pretty well protected in the Palace back 5. He's shit in the air but decent on the ball.

VVD isn't going to get better, he's going to get worse. Konate has started the season like he's Mangala's little brother.

The fluffing of Liverpool is all down the noise around Isak and the early signing of Wirtz. But overall if you listen to their own supporters, they aren't happy. Isak isn't anywhere near enough to cover their weak spots.

Worry is they’ve won both games and can clearly improve. Isak and Guehi make them significantly better than they are and add depth. They have belief as well in their squad I think we’ve lost ours
