Key for us is Rodri has to start at a bare minimum, and I hope Pep sees the light and plays Khusanov.

Unfortunately I have a worrysome feeling that Rodri will only get 30 mins, it will be the same back 4 as last week and Nico G will be in the 6.

Pep had all week to reflect on what went wrong vs Spurs and feels like Brighton/Hurzeler looking at that game to take ideas too.
so we may need to expect like what we do if similar things happen. just dont act surprised and out of ideas. be ready to counteract it.

inverted fullbacks, honestly would not use it unless in easy cup games, easy CL games at home and maybe bottom shit PL clubs and promoted sides.
just put some fear into opponents by having a good winger helped by a fullback at least on one side if not both, rather then having the winger completely marked out/doubled up and us not capitalizing on it.

But for some reason we want a small squad. If we want a small squad we need quality players that are the right age profile. This transition is going to last a lot longer than I thought it would be tbh

And that was last year. Doubt his speed has improved and from his cameo against Spurs, it looked rather the opposite. I love him to bits but he is very slow.

He runs a lot but just not very quickly.

Rodri isn't quick but is strong and with great awareness. Gonzalez obviously isn't there yet but has potential. Bernardo at this stage can try buzzing around but just is too slow IMO.
