3 | Ruben Dias - 2025/26

We extended with a player who is declining for the last 2 years. Should’ve done a Chelsea and put in on the transfer list. Amazing. Will lose his place to Khusanov this season already if pep doesn’t revert back and out Khusanov back on the bench because he didn’t play 328 short passes.

But Khusanov gave away a stupid free kick that lead to their penalty

Don't blame Khusanov for that.. it was the stupid hand ball.

I like Nunes and don't want to pile on him one bit but it was his hand in the wrong position.

I love Erling but he should have put the game to bed today.

Sometimes you have to call a mistake a mistake for who's mistake it is.

Well we will have to disagree on the free kick, the player was going away from goal when he jumped in but mistakes also followed that.
One thing I do know is that Khusanov would have done a better job of tracking back (and maybe not playing everyone on side) for the winner

He's at his best when he's fired up, making blocks and getting the other defenders up for it.

Just don't feel like he does that any more.

And if he doesn't do it anymore, does it mean he's changed personally? I do worry just how much winning a treble and four in a row takes from a player. It's the pinnacle of club football. You've genuinely completed it once you've done that. I reckon quite a lot of footballers will start naturally just coming back from that peak once they've reached the top. The hunger will not be the same for most anymore. Takes a truly truly special kind of mentality to keep going.

This year's Walker it seems.
It's obvious he's being affected by off-field issues. To say he's been atrocious would be too generous.
What off-field issues are affecting his game? Him having a bird who happens to be in the public eye does nothing, if he was doing the exact same things with a missus who wasnt famous what would be different? It's just a convenient stick to beat him with that has no merit

Dias was having a shit spell before he got with his missus, its not as if there is even genuine correlation between his form and him getting a nee girlfriend.

What’s this off field issue. He’s with a fit bird? Lol

By all accounts she’s a nice girl with her own career.

Hardly like he’s being caught by paparazzi chasing skirt round deansgate and getting caught with his pants down.

Just seen the second goal again. He was jogging back and ended up a yard away from blocking their shot. If only he’d ran!

It’s not as though he had an extra yard or two on everybody else either…

Seems that way. Like I said, its just a tired and conveniently placed stick to best him with. As somebody else said a few weeks ago, him being with a famous girl is arguably going to create less problems. She's got her own genuine fame and own money, she isnt going to be chasing extra fame off the back of him nor chasing his money so its probable that there's actually less issues than there would be if she wasnt famous.

Nail on the head
