It's Quiet the £250m return

There's plenty of right backs out there whether it's in Europe or South America, surely for a club of our stature we'd have a serious scouting department to find us a right back.

We let the dippers have a free run at Frimpong for £35m too.

Arsenal went and signed Timber last summer.

There's right backs available but we're too stubborn and we'll cut our nose off to spite our face and stick with Nunes and Rico.

This will be two seasons in a row now without a right back, It's not good enough.
Two seasons?

That’s nothing, we’ve only just signed a recognised LB after about 5. And after today I’m using the term recognised loosely…

We were linked with Wesley who has had a great start with Roma.

Lol, I don't care about their age, all I care about is are they good enough, and will they be good enough in the future, for me they aren't and won't be. Not for a team that wants to win the league and cl anyway. It's no surprise that Forest and Spurs were the club's in for them, not exactly serial winners are they?
Some people are obsessed with age, I couldn't care less how old a player is as long as they make us a better team.

Neither rico or Sav make us a better team, so whether they are good enough in 2 years is irrelevant.

At the moment, we seem to have a large number of young players in the 1st team squad who aren't good enough NOW, as in good enough to have an impact on us winning major trophies.

I can't remember another period of time in the last 15 years, where we've had such a number of young players with 'potential'.

Apparently Doku is still potential, despite being in his 3rd season and actually managing to look worse each time he plays.

Well, he’s either not as bad as you are continually saying or he won’t get a game if Pep won’t change.

We can all agree that not every signing works out. I would like to also think you would agree we don’t spunk millions for dhits and giggles
If he comes in he is going to be number one.

I just think this is a signing we dont need to make - there are far more concerning areas of the team.
We havent previously spunked millions for shits and giggles BUT we have wasted money previously on poor signing. Phillips, Nunes....Doku aint looking great, Sav aint looking great, Grealish a huge waste of money ( i remember the conversations on here along those exact lines you have just used above about being sure the club knows what its doing etc....Grealish was a HUGE mistake and waste of money)

It has to be acknowledged that even the best make mistakes...I believe that while Donarumma is a very good player he is also not what we should have been priortising all summer and certainly not the last 4 weeks of the transfer window.

The only time I’ve felt confident about the season ahead was the tail end of the spurs game when we had Rodri, And Foden on the field in midfield. Haaland is getting crumbs and I don’t see where the service will come
From other than Phil.
Haaland had enough decent chances today

I totally agree that we need strengthening elsewhere, but I believe signing Donna isn’t at the expense of other pursuits, or has even been our top priority

That’s what your post warranted. You talk as if the board are clueless
I know you are harbouring a grudge from this morning, so I won't sink to your levels. Having called me a "Rag", the irony of you calling someone else "clueless" isn't lost on me.

Anyway, you're incapable of engaging with the substance of my post because there's nothing especially wrong with it. Can't stand Internet bullies, so have a good night.

I can’t believe Pep, one of the greatest managers ever who’s coached elite players during his career looks at what we have and thinks yeah these lot are top draw in comparison to his Barca, Munich and City teams he’s had. Immediately required:
RB
CM
WIDE PLAYER

I have no grudges, especially on here. I called you a rag as an ironic gesture which I thought was obvious.

I think you, and several others are just kicking out because today’s result is raw.

I thought your latest post about submitting my CV was unnecessary and an ad hominem attack. Some people take these things lying down but I'm not one of those people.

So I'll turn it about face - you said a few minutes ago that Donnarumma isn't one of our main priorities. Do you know this for sure? Do you have contacts with the board? Are you an ITK? Does the board know you're leaking stuff online about our transfer targets? Are you a mole in the camp? You seem to know so much that I'm thinking you saying that I need to submit my CV is actually an invitation rather than a suggestion.

You will have to show me where I stated Donna “isn’t a priority”
I said we have other needs as well and that I didn’t think signing Donna would be a blocker to other pursuits

We've spent £450m since January and what's the return?

Barely any are bonafide world class and in the meanwhile we've seen our rivals sign players that immediately improved their starting XI.

Walker wanted to leave two years ago and we don't have a right back. We've been drunk on success and it's inhibiting us now. The last top class player we've signed was Gvardiol.
