We probably have the best in the world in 3 from 4 lines in the team.
Gigi
Rodri
Erling.

Too bad we didn’t sign RB and CD. Now it’s up to Pep to reinvent himself and this team.
He might have to as he knows Gigi is not as good with feet so we go direct and use pace which will bring in the Uzbek lad .

Yeah he only played one good game in 8 years. What were the club thinking. You must be so glad our treble winning, 4 in a row keeper has finally gone?
But he was done with us and it was plain to see after last season so would you rather stick with someone who’s gone with us ?

Major signing for us this as we have got the best in the world
We haven't though, the champions league run is clouding some to the fact he is error prone, a top keeper in the top 5 and on a par with Raya or Eddie.

But then prior to signingfor the rags Onana was touted as in the top 5 in Europe and top 10 in the world for his Inter performances.

He has signed so though I admit I don't think he is that much better than what we had will back him 100% if he's having a barnstomer or a mare he will get my support as a city player and hope he has a. great career with us, but while plenty here praising him many of those will be the first to slag him off if any mistakes get made.

Well if he is as bad as some people are saying he is(not in my view), Trafford should have no problem ousting him then.

To be honest I think that GK feet football is overrated. If he passes the ball in the first third or not won’t make us score easier.

New Football (call it like that) actually sees GK with the ball in his feet as chance for more pressing. Less passing for GK and more clean sheets please.

And?

We bought KDB, and Chelsea tried to (and indeed did) sell him.
I don’t know what the best player in the Bundesliga for 2 years has to do with Donnarumma who had bad years until January. You see the difference ? Also KDB wasn’t 26-27. there is a reason psg didn’t extend with „ the best goalkeeper in world „ . He isn’t. Courtois and Allison are better .

Well neither of those is available to buy so we have signed the best available goalkeeper.

It's silly to judge someone on what one club thought of them. He was instrumental in their CL win. We sold Palmer for what we thought was a good deal and then he went on to show he was much more valuable than that.

What works or doesn't at one club isn't defining.

Allison is bobbins.

I think too many people, are looking too deep into signing Donnarumma.
I have some sympathy for James Trafford, but circumstances change

Is Donnarumma a good goalkeeper - definitely
Is he better than what we have (now Eddie's gone) probably
Was he available - yes
Was he expensive - no
Could we get him - yes
Should we get him - yes

Circumstances can change at any time, the team is more important than any individual.

Comments about his ability to play with his feet - does anyone seriously think he has been signed without Pep's say so?

Unlike some, in Pep i trust, i think his record speaks for itself

So we have probably the best keeper in the world ( in the top 3 for me), the best midfielder and best goalscorer. Then we have a local lad who was by far the best player in the league two seasons back, so we know his ability.

Fit the right pieces of the puzzle around them and there's absolutely no reason we shouldn't be the best team around again.

Of course, a few players don't make a team, that's where the others come in, but there's definitely a basis there for another legendary city team

Ask any team in the world if they want to swap 3 for 3 as a package and they get Donnarumma, Rodri and Haaland. There isn't a single team that would decline that offer.

Obviously were off it at the moment and have been for a while, but there's plenty to build on and be positive about.

The best for the last 6 months yes. Before that PSG tried to sell him TWICE.

The point about the best player in the Bundesliga for 2 years, (KDB) is that Chelsea tried to, and indeed did sell him. PSG have indeed tried to sell Donnarumma, but even you have stated "the best for the last 6 months" that sounds current to me.
I might have got it wrong, but was under the impression the main reason Donnarumma and PSG couldn't reach agreement over an extension, was his unwillingness to accept a pay cut

Which is exactly correct about his contract.

Was offered a deal deal which is lower than what he's on now. They couldn't come to a agreement so PSG are cashing in now rather than him leaving on a free next summer.
