York away we didn't spend 300 million between jan and summer. Didnt have best coach and facilities in world. Expectations are a little higher now

You talk as if full backs are not a requirement for a successful team. Maybe not for some examples but the overwhelming majority have dedicated full backs. You need to pull your head out of the pep tunnel and realise most successful sides in the history of football have dedicated defenders defending, dedicated midfielders midfielding and a fukin dedicated striker striking! It’s bizarre that you think it should be any other way! Especially when opponents have figured out your weaknesses and exploit them on the weekly!

If you have the best player's at every position, this is always better. But if there was q position where you are weakest, its best its at fullback.

And almost every team is weak somewhere. Chelsea at Goalie, Arsenal at Goalie and striker until this season, Liverpool was weak at full back, and probably still are...

If uou can have every position be great, its best. But in the end it is the Superstars and yhe heart of the great teams that make the difference

I get it that many here think Nunes and Lewis are below standard, but they arent. They are just not stars. And they dont need to be

Exactly. We’re not asking for Prime Dani Alves. Just need a player who knows how to play the role. Rico and Nunes simply don’t. They get caught out so many times. City at their best didn’t have liabilities in the team. This current team does.

If you want a defensive FB, the maybe but would offer nothing going forwards. Would leave us a bit short of pace at CB though as well.

Might not be a popular opinion but personally I'd stick with Nunes for now. He's the quickest player in our squad and has all the attributes to be a good RB if we can train the brainfarts out of him. We'd then have pace at CB and RB.

Look back you never said final season Walker. Maybe an oversight on your part but that aside claiming fullbacks aren’t important or are less important makes no sense.

That last paragraph is bonkers mate. Nunes and Lewis are not stars in their primary positions ever mind anywhere else. they have played their whole careers in midfield! They are therefore terrible in an unrecognised position! Fine have average RB but he still needs to be a career RB. Not a make do and mend for 2 seasons.

Think of it in simple terms, It’s like joining electrical wires with electric tape just because it’s called electrical tape! When there’s actual fixings to do the job correctly.

Now the dippers have signed the bestest midfielder in the werrld, perhaps we could put a cheeky bid for that not so bestest they put as full back last couple of games. He seemed to adapt OK. Crazy he cost just £7m more than Nunes.
