Yes we doIf we need a 'proper' RB, we also need a proper LB.

Genuine question, and probably a stupid one. Is it possible to play three at the back? Three big centre halves of Dias, Stones and Gvardiol? That'll get rid of our RB problem altogether. Happy days.
Extra question... has the title ever been won with a back three?
Nunes will never really be accepted because of that mistake against United. I think he is fine but is bound to do mistakes at times. Not because he "isn't a right-back", but he just isn't a world-class footballer. But he is not a worry. But he will me made out to be every time he is vaguely involved in a goal against us. No matter how fluked it isAll this RB drama narrative seems to imply our LB is sorted now Ait-Nouri is in!?
Strange that Nunes - except for that handball situation - has closed our right side pretty well, while our left side was wide open as Ait-Nouri never gets behind his man and holds his position.
But as RAN has already been declared as a world class signing on here it's more fancy to join the RB drama camp. Just repeat often enough, it works.

Problem we have is that we’ve been playing two right-footed central defenders, and they naturally drift to thei right, leaving Ait-Nouri with even more space behind him.All this RB drama narrative seems to imply our LB is sorted now Ait-Nouri is in!?

Don't think we've got those in our locker unfortunately.Chelsea under Conte played wingbacks

Ah no, I don't buy that.Problem we have is that we’ve been playing two right-footed central defenders, and they naturally drift to thei right, leaving Ait-Nouri with even more space behind him.

Amorin thinks soAit-Nouri is definitely a wingback - played it at Wolves - and I think Nunes would be better suited as a WB. He has the engine to get up and down the pitch, and having another defender behind him would mean his lapses wouldn't be as risky. I've been harping on about us doing a 3 4 3 for a while now, as I think it would suit our personnel

He thinks it would suit our personnel and make up for a shortfall in defensive solidity from our fullbacks & centrebacks in a back 4?Amorin thinks so
Nunes will never be really accepted as he hasn’t displayed anything .not good enough for a team that’s supposed to be competing for trophies. He’s defo no right back. He is a liability in defence and is too soft for the role as waving his hands in air like a Fanny.Nunes will never really be accepted because of that mistake against United. I don’t disagree, which is why I always thought Hato would have been the ideal signing,Ah no, I don't buy that.
Ait Nouri is a liability at defending and against any half good winger we will be in instant trouble.
Against lesser sides he can shine going forward as a wingback and we have to compensate without him in defence.
I would prefer 4 true defenders (esp. in our shaky form right now) to stabilise the situation and build confidence and go on from there.
I know Pep won't change though.
I'm repeating myself from a few months ago but we should have 8 defenders. 4 centre halves, 2 left backs and 2 right backs. Preferably 2 more attack minded and 2 more defensive minded full backs. All this RB drama narrative seems to imply our LB is sorted now Ait-Nouri is in!?

Our success or failure wouldn't turn on whether we have a right back.Tbh the person who has said we are good to go without a right back should be fucking sacked end off . In what world is that decision ok .
