They've done what we should have after the treble and after 2012 league win. Been super aggressive signed their next generation of top talent ready to compete for trophies over the next 5 years.
Crazy considering the yanks were made out to be tight bastards, same with Arsenal too very strong teams now and I think our squad can't compete which is on txixi and viana.

We need a fucking verdict from this ffp crap so we can move on one way or another.

The level of hypocrisy demonstrated by the media towards the dippers is so very clear and obvious.

Glossing over all of their unsavoury history, criminal and disgraceful behaviour of their feral supporters for the pieces of silver.

Journalism integrity at its lowest.
Correct, and has been for a while. I've become totally desensitised to it, but understand how it can rankle folk.

It frustrates and annoys me in equal measures.

I detest our media and am genuinely appreciative of people like Martin Samuel.

If the outcome of the 115shit is positive for us, I do not anticipate the narrative in favour of the redshirt clubs lessening nor the hostility towards City declining. I believe it will intensify , if that is at all possible.

I believe that the anti City rhetoric will ramp up.

We are in a battle with the US-owned clubs who want a total monopoly over the way the PL, PSR shite etc and funding is run, to the absolute detriment of every other club.

Breaking the British transfer record twice in one window, is that unprecedented?

Going by their own beliefs though, whatever they win this season is meaningless with that kind of spend as it is the very definition of buying the league. They wouldnt want to be hypocrites and claiming otherwise now would they?
And that my friend is hitting the bullseye.
Double like.

Impossible to disagree with any of that.

That just puts into perspective how remarkable our achievements have been since Pep came in 2016/2017.
5th in net spend since then ! Half of what the Rags net spend has been. Nobody in the media seems to mention that. Despite this we had arguably the greatest dominance for a 10 plus year period in English football history. By the numbers, only Liverpool 70's/80 or Rags 90's/2000's had a better trophy haul. However there were no spending restrictions then so their competition was nothing like we faced.
and they didnt have witch hunt hanging over them

They will not win the battle. It's our national sport: it's a British way of life, always has been, always will be.
Many people underestimate the backbone of this country because of our 'stiff upper lip' reputation, but as many an invader throughout history has discovered to their cost, we aren't afraid to steam in and kick the shit out of anyone who takes liberties. If these yank owners seriously believe they can come in and destroy centuries of tradition they will be mistaken.

Money talks, but pride in your heritage talks a fucking site louder.

I like your optimism but not sure I have your faith.

The cunts have got a serious foothold in the PL and will not be easy to dislodge imo.

It seems like everything the fucking yanks interfere with ends up with somebody else losing out.

And I give you Donald fucking Trump as an example.

I’m not even arsed they’re spending money (aside from the fact it’s Liverpool), but the weird bending over backwards from the media and their supporters that it’s okay now.
There's 2 types of money where our media are concerned.
Clean wholesome white yank money.
Then dirty brown Arab oil money.

Everyone acting like it’s something new Liverpool spending. They were built on Littlewoods money to bring success in the 70s and 80s. They spent silly in the 90s on the likes of Phil Babb, John Scales and Stan Collymore. Who remembers when they snapped up Senegal players after they had a decent World Cup in 2002 and they all turned out to be shite. Not to mention spending stupid money on Andy Caroll breaking the British transfer record at the time.

Them being all frugal in the 2010s stemmed from Hicks and Gillette nearly managing them into administration. Fenway Sport only wanted the club if there were rules in place to stop City’s spending. If we’d have had the ability to spend the equivalent of what they did in their success years we’d have been a lot closer to them and the rags in the trophy count.

Always spent as you say, klipperty trying to stem the spending of City by claiming they are an ethical club is laughable.

Scummy club
Scummy fans

Don't normally disagree with KentBlue but unless the American cartel go full out for a closed shop, no promotion or relegation I can't see their fans protesting. These American cartel fans dippers, rags, gooners etc are happy for it to be just their clubs at the top. These cartel fans have been told so many untruths from the press/media who are in the cartel pocket. These fans see other clubs with non American owners as the threat, fully supported by the press/media.

I am abit surprised even though I shouldn't be that the dippers arent being called out on buying the league this season. Nearly 500million spent on a squad that won the league last season its fucking bonkers.
Dippers getting a free pass on their spending.
I can only see the pl going full American franchise with games in America.

They've barely spent a penny if you average it across a fitting timescale where a couple of other clubs are above them, and allow for full values of player sales with add-ons included (whether achieved or not).

What are the odds on Isak getting injured for Sweden and missing a large part of this season?
