A shame it didn't work out the 2nd time, looked a really savvy signing at the time and to be fair he wasn't supposed to play as much as he did but the injuries meant he had too, could have been much worse.

A club legend and he's going to a club where he's going to be idolised.

I guess he'll be back at the Etihad with Galatasaray in January, probably stick one in the top corner too.

I'm glad he's off the payroll. I don't mean that disrespectfully, he just wasn't going to feature much. It didn't work out this time, it wasn't his fault, father time had caught up. Very sorry to see him go. He posted 3,359 minutes in 54 games last season, compared with 3,856 in 22-23 across 51 games. That’s still a considerable amount of football for someone who was supposed to be helping off the bench. We’ve retained less dependable and capable players but he’s fallen victim to the purge.

I thought he was really coming into form at rhe end of last season. Seems a shame for him to have left without much fanfare. He's been a fantastic player for us and he is a top guy too. Hope he returns to the club in some capacity in the future.

absolutely gutted to see him go again, great player, fantastic attitude & mentality and without a doubt my favourite ever player to wear a City shirt in my 40 years of being a season ticket holder , absolute clutch player who did it in big moments, still believe he is better than some players in that position still at the club and was also available every minute of every game last season after re-joining, absolutely no coincidence our results were better when he did play but if it is true and he is getting a 2 year contract at Galatasaray then I am delighted for him.
