The cherry on top of an unbelievable performance. The sheer joy in The Kippax was breathtaking.
2nd goal was pandemonium on scale rarely seen since.

Yep. No proper celebration but hey, as @BlueHammer85 will aver, “it’s progress”.If you watch the video and the replay of Goat nicking the ball. When the original long misplaced pass is played, Goater is in an offside position
I wonder if VAR was around then they'd have disallowed it!
Certainly not since VAR royally ruined the art of going bananas when the ball hits the net. Oh, hang on, someone’s trodden on someone’s toenail twenty minutes ago - we need to check this…2nd goal was pandemonium on scale rarely seen since.
My instant thought was brightwell, don't know why.can still remember the commentary "like a arrow into the top corner you beauty".Hinchcliffe’s in the Maine Road Massacre.
Ian Brightwell's in the return same season.
I was just thinking about those rare moments when we score, and then score again.2nd goal was pandemonium on scale rarely seen since.
Vonk at QPR was fantastic. Great day out. Just after White blew the net off for the first. We rode our luck that day and I thought maybe, just maybe, it could be our year…I was just thinking about those rare moments when we score, and then score again.
Obviously the Morley goal in the 5-1, but also the Simpson effort in the 5-1 v Charlton and Vonk's FA Cup header at QPR
Obviously all three goals were huge and Pandemonium is the right word.
However for sheer technical brilliance I'd still go for Bernardo's first goal v Real Madrid in the 4-0, and the way that City pulled Vinicius Junior out of position.
Yep, that would be my favourite too .... that move and finish were just poetry in motion.Bernardo away at Villa.
Just a beautiful, beautiful goal.
Totally agree, saw all of these apart from Irelands at Hamburg, still walking up the steps thanks to 2 effing stewards sending me all round the houses, but its sergio first and forever.Too many to chose from, a couple of standouts LC final '76 from Tueart for years I thought that would be the only thing I'd ever see us win, Kernaghan v Leicester, KInky v Soton, Elarno freekick v toon, McKenzie v Spurs in the FA replay, Jim Melrose fro the halfway line v Notts Co, Yaya v Villa, Ireland away at Hamburg...... there are many more but .....
93:20 has to be the winner.
Do you remember when we could actually beat spurs?
