Unless they’re as fucking dumb as a Love Island contestant.The problem the human rights lawyer has is that he is basically making the argument that the two situations are completely unrelated to one another. He's claiming it can be possible for someone to be a serious criminal and still have a genuine asylum case. But the reality is that committing a serious criminal offence is evidence that he doesn't have a genuine asylum claim, because someone fearful for their life will do everything they can to avoid jeopardizing their asylum case.
