President Trump

Well, the job numbers came out and they were worse than anticipated be we are assured by Lutnick that previous holdovers from the Biden admin in the BLS are still in there and are out to get the President, while Trump assures us a year from now the numbers will be incredible.

Manufacturing down 78,000 on last year, I thought these tariffs were going to force businesses to set up in America. It’s not exactly having the desired effect.

Trump will just fill up these agencies with Maga maniacs and tell them what results he wants reporting. This is what Kennedy is doing in Health.

I have just been out in Pasadena, looking for coffee. There is literally no one about. I was thinking does anyone work over here. Now I understand why.
I could not find coffee. But, I could get weed, beer and brass. America is nuts.

You should visit.
Then you will see the truth.
It is indeed some time since I visited China; Dalian and Harbin mainly, to look at their dairy industry. I enjoyed the experience and the company of those who 'supervised' / acted as guides, but the conditions for the rural 'dairy farmers' was fairly grim; except for those supplying Western Companies - Nestle was the example I visited - they at least paid their milk suppliers and helped them raise their quality standards. Many of those supplying indigenous dairy plants were paid in shares for effectively bankrupt companies. I have lots of stories but don't want to go too far off topic. Of course I expect that things will have improved in the 25+ years since I was there but I would be surprised if the lot of the rural peasant farmers has improved greatly and I couldn't help thinking of those dark satanic mills from 'Jerusalem'.

Think the stadiums are highly unlikely to be half empty mate, simply due to the interest from US fans. Think most of the games would be sold out from that source alone.
Well they thought that about the CWC and that didn’t materialize, don’t forget a lot of fans are not white males, Christ over there they are afraid to go to work or school in case they get lifted by ICE, theyll have a field day at some of those stadiums. I see the prices are around £45 upto £5k for the final as well.

I have visited Harbin some years ago, although my usual places I go to are in Inner Mongolia province where my wife's family live.
The provincial capital is Huhehaote which has grown in size from 1/2 million people to around 10million.
Farming conditions have improved, but farming is farming and sometimes you have to graft.
As I say, I would be more than happy to take anyone to take a look at how China is now compared to quarter of a century ago.

Very well said.
The lying about and mockery of China must stop. The CCP have achieved great things in China for its' people. My knowledge of China comes from repeated visits over more than 25 years and from my own observations and thoughts on those observations.
China has its' critics but compare it to the U.S., a lot of whose population is on its' knees, both financially and morally.
China is leading the way now and we in the U.K., Europe and the U.S. need to open our eyes, open our minds, raise our consciousness and get to know really what China has accomplished and is continuing so to do.
We need to cooperate with and trust China more, they are not a threat to our way of life and they will not try to impose their will on us, and right now we need their help.
What's your view on the Hong Kong situation? Are they being "looked after" or brutally controlled?

Countries with a refugee/migrant problem tend to be the best places to live. Countries that don't let their population leave tend to be the worse places to live. I don't see people risking their lives to get to China Russia N Korea.
You see, a tightly controlled population will seem good from the outside when visiting. But there is a human cost to that as well. You won't get a valid response from people there, as most don't know anything else.

The US may soon be a very safe place to live. All it takes is the President to put troops on the ground, and crime "literally" dies away. Same as peoples rights/freedoms...

I have only used the airport in HK and going off that experience, it is a place with many western style shops, dovetailed with traditional style.
I didn't see any signs of rebellion or anger, just people going about their daily lives.
The places I visit are in the north of China where my wife is from.
They like a drink haha!
