Mrs just brought home a couple of females. I have never had rodents before. Any pointers on what you need to do with them?

From what I read online, they are just fat bastards and you just keep giving them vegetation?

I had one as a kid and seems to remember they go wild for dandelion leaves.
Also like to nibble carrots, cabbage and lettuce. They obviously need fresh water too either in a dangly bottle or a dish.
They like sleeping in beds of hay, but it needs regular changing as it sounds gets soaked in their pellets and piss!
We had them in a house in the garden with steps down to a run made of wood and chicken wire, but make sure it is secure to keep foxes out.
We brought ours indoors in winter and kept them in a cardboard box full of hay.
Our pair of females used to hate each other and they were always butting each other!

Try to ask a serious question for serious answers, but it appears everybody has missed the point. I was actually asking whether to use Oregano or Thyme?

In all seriousness, do you give them free reign?

They are actually a gourmet dish in South America, especially Argentina!

If you want a few pointers this may be a good place to start...

No they shit every minute and love to primarily hide under cover.

Pretty sure all rodents chew wires too, so hopefully not too late and one of the serving suggestions above is the most relevant.

If you're giving them a shelter to hide under, put an extra tray underneath and perhaps even something cloth-like as they will mostly piss under there so it saves cleaning up.
