Players who might improve us

Or Sane after the 100 points

Sane played a ton in the 2018-19 season. Then he tore his ACL.

Did you forget he has the winner of the most beautiful game ever played.. the 2-1 vs Liverpool??

Sane never complained about playtime.. he complained about contract money and when Bayern gave him more than KDB was making with us.. he left!

When we signed Sané, it was rumoured in Germany his plan was to see out 5 years with City & then return to Germany to play for Bayern, & that's near enough what happened. I think the huge bump in wages was merely to insure that remained the case.

Judging by the way Leroy was crying after City played & beat Bayern in Germany, it seems he had major regrets about his move too. He never reached the superstar level many predicted.

Despite the talent, he was always a bit petulant and sulky and probably too sure of himself. That’s just been amplified in the weird environment that is Bayern Munich.

Half the player of Sterling.

These are his stats for the last few seasons. Doku and savinho arent getting these numbers and he’s playing for a terrible side. He also scores in the most important games - the European cup final for example. I think he’s incredibly underrated.

2024-2025:
13 goals, 10 assists
2023-24:
20 goals, 10 assists
2022-23:
13 goals, 8 assists
2021-22:
18 goals, 13 assists
Tbf Bowen is 28, in his prime and I think he’d struggle against packed defences as he isn’t particularly quick or tricky. Much more suited to Liverpool as the Jota replacement.

He’s got the Sterling knack of being in the right place at the right time, which is a skill we’ve missed since Raz’s demise/ departure.

Also probably fair to admit that I can’t really see Doku or Savinho ever reaching 18 goals and 12 assists in a season, they’re not even getting those numbers together as it stands.

He tore his ACL in the Community Shield, first game of the season

Marc Guehi.

Buy him January, fuck the Scouse twats off. We need a proper PL centre half. Stones always injured, Akanji gone, Aké often injured, Khusanov inexperienced, Dias seems to have been distracted by shagging/Instagramming. We can only rely on Gvardiol so we need another.

Guehi is fucking superb and it’d be really shit if those vermin signed him. We need to start challenging these cartel clubs and blowing them away in the transfer market. Let’s start with this lad.

I don’t disagree - for 35m this summer makes a lot of sense, 15m in Jan given Stones (seemingly) will be going next summer makes sense. But given we have paid 50/60m for Reis and Khus and Bah do we not need to Keep a pathway clear for them?

Dias, Gvardiol, Ake, Reis, Bah and Khus means we are a bit heavy next summer already? I rate Ake but given he can’t stay fit and will be on big money makes it unlikely we can get rid easily. Is there space for any more?

City usually don't do bidding wars

and from what i've read R.Madrid, Bayern, Spurs also are in the race for him

Elliot Anderson would have made a fine Rodri understudy/ successor, we still haven’t filled that position imo, Nico G is a box to box

I have been quite impressed with him since he has got more playing time at Forest.

I agree that he looks more suited to the role we are using Nico in.

Nonsense. It’s fair to say he didn’t fulfil his potential but he was a technically more gifted player than sterling.

Just watched the Como game from the other day, buy that Nico Paz whatever the fucking cost. Just go and get him. He'll be one of the best in the world in the next 2 years. Insane player.

From Bundesliga highlights the new St Pauli winger Houtondji had a great game, will keep an eye on him. On loan from Burnley apparently lol they have made some fuck up there on that evidence.

Think he's Real Madrid bound.
