I think this youtuber might not be the tactical genius you seem to think he is
What? A youtuber thinking they know everything and are well up on tactics?
Oh the shock.

The way we play isn't working at the moment , it was beginning not to work when we had Eddie and then Trafford in goal . Also players that made that system work have left the team so adapt or die .So the team has to change the way they play to benefit from the specific skills of the goalkeeper? That’s a new one.
the club have already made their decision.I dare say the club are waiting with baited breath.
Because some people have no idea what they're talking about and some have agendas against players from certain countries or in favor of English players. Don't hold your breath waiting for them to admit it...Why is there so much negativity about Donnarumma? Eddie has gone, he went of his own accord, he no longer wanted to play for Manchester City FC, and good luck to him for the future. We have replaced him with one of the top goalies in world football at a very cheap price .Trafford may develop into a world class goalie, but he is not that right now Donnarumma is . City and Pep will probably have to develop a new style of play to adapt to Donna , but i don't see that as a bad thing ,we have been found out so time to adapt
OK - you disagree with my take. Why so?Probably because You’re one of the worst posters on here in terms of their opinions as you seem to know sweet fuck all.
And yet if you conduct basic the most basic of research on Donnarumma you'd find that everything in my post is true.Get the fuck outta here with that load of bullshit...

Look - I get that you're a fan of City and want to support new players in our side no matter what - but I'm different. I support City just as much as you do, but I'm able to look at players and their performances independent of my pro-City bias.
Absolutely so.You could make any keeper look shit with an edited video of their worst moments.
Don't think anyone has any agenda about the nationality of any player. Some have doubts about how we adapt our game to change from Ederson to Donnarumma,no big deal. I find it a odd one to get my head around, but Pep knows what he wants so I'm all good with it and looking forward to seeing how it pans out.Not one fan will be against it based on nationality.Because some people have no idea what they're talking about and some have agendas against players from certain countries or in favor of English players. Some haven't grasped the fact that the Prem, for better or for worse, is now an international league with City being one of its marquee clubs.
Might be worth waiting for him to actually play a game for us before writing him off though. And yet if you conduct basic the most basic of research on Donnarumma you'd find that everything in my post is true.

Donnarumma is arguably the best keeper in the world at shot stopping ability when in the box.Are you being serious ? Try telling that to Italian fans who win the euros also psg who win the champions league . Best keeper in the world .
Donnarumma is arguably the best keeper in the world at shot stopping ability in his box.
But he's average at best when distributing the ball and isn't good at commanding the box on corners/free kicks.
More to the point - Pep has based his entire career on keeping the ball as a primary means of defense and has put a premium on goalkeepers who are good on the ball. Trafford makes perfect sense as a signing. Donnarumma makes no sense.
a most refreshing and informative read, their Serie A correspondent should replace Sam Lee as City reporter without delay.Good piece on Donnarumma by James Horncastle in the New York Times yesterday:

Gianluigi Donnarumma may not feel like a ‘Pep player’, but neither did Erling Haaland
Donnarumma is the Haaland of goalkeepers. His deficiencies are overplayed. His generational talent somehow continues to be underplayedwww.nytimes.com
Behind a paywall, so here is another link:
Huh?Major 'I've done my own research on vaccines vibes'.
Here's some more independent research for you

Huh?
Haaland doesn't fit the Pep system at all - but we can carry him.
Donnarumma doesn't fit the Pep system at all - but beats the fuck out of me how we cope with a keeper who is arguably the best at stopping shots while in the box, but who is average at best on the ball... which in turn means that our build up from the back is going to take a huge hit when Donnarumma starts.
Might be worth waiting for him to actually play a game for us before writing him off though.
