PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Seems odd given the ferocity with which we came out swinging at this. The face we accept the rules now.... Unless we'd challenged the previous version and there's a new version imminent?

The premier league need a valid set of rules in place, we'd already demonstrated once that they weren't legal.

Something's changed here, for us to agree on this. I do get the impression that this was a bargaining tool for us on the bigger 115 case, but it could also be that we've had no choice but to stand down.

Either way, it's clear we won't find out for sure as the agreement specifically prevents those who know for talking about it.
I'm ITK

Interested to see the premier league statement on this, got a feeling there wording will be different to our statement

The "no talking"...does that indicate a compromise on the 115 result? As in the agreement on this one is linked to whatever the 115 decision is?

I’m guessing if we’ve settled we’ve got what we want. The dirty laundry never getting aired
How do the you “settle” something which has been judged as illegal the whole thing is becoming nothing but a big fuck off pantomime
And the very least we deserve is a statement regarding a definitive date for the announcement regarding the 115

I’m getting as pissed off with City nearly as much as The EPL et al

So we are calling the PL corrupt - the comment section of this tweet about Apt from Martyn is saying that PL have taken money from us to pardon us from the “charges” and I seemingly have no idea whether whatever the post is - is it good for City or not

Who knew supporting your football would require a degree from accounting and Law!

If City have received a wad of compensation, then surely this will appear in the PL's accounts!

I think it’s fair to discuss the APT outcome as relates to the charges.

Are we seeing a more open dialogue between City and the PL?

Have related party issues with Etihad been resolved via the 115 and thus the APT issue is void as far as the things are now concerned?

Are we taking our foot off the gas because we’re satisfied with how other events (115) have played out?

I guess we'll only know, not even that, can only speculate further, when the 115 result is out.

We as city fans may point to a trade off playing a part here, but officially they and us would deny any such cooperation.

Meanwhile rival fans will still say we're guilty. They'll see this as proof were about to be defeated on the 115 too, because that's what they'll want to believe. Tell Stevie G to get that kit back on and be ready to collect his commemorative medal!

You do realise any delays to publication of the judgement on this don’t sit with either City or the EPL, don’t you?

It’s currently sitting with the independent judiciary panel, led by Murray Rosen, to write up their findings and make their judgement based on the evidence provided.

So if you want to be pissed off at anyone - there’s your target.

Both City and the PL have presented their respective cases, and completed their role in the process.

They can’t influence the panel from this point, and are in no position to update on timelines of publication.

Funny Levy goes and they do a deal!? Surly Levy hasn’t that much pull with the premier?
Maybe that’s why he walked cos we’ve kissed and made up, well over this anyway and he spat his dummy out.
Doubt it and just me being daft : )

Sounds like, we won on APT1, got the changes we wanted for the 3 points the tribunal found unlawful

Was going to go after them again in APT2 when they amended the rules but ultimately that didn't really affect us

Can now get the new Etihad deal finalised, so have agreed to settle and be friendly...job done
