President Trump

We're going a week on Friday mate.
Heard the Mad hatter mentioned numerous times on here so may try and dig it out!
And ace - hope you both have an amazing trip.

I was under the impression that NYC had become truly corporate and had its wild soul ripped out, but watching this show suggests otherwise:

There was (is?) a similar place in San Francisco I visited a couple of times (25 years ago was the last visit) that @FogBlueInSanFran knows about (Mad Dog in the Fog).

One of the most welcoming pubs/bars I recall visiting (lot of ex pats/city fans that made that place their home).
Yes old Mad Dog — though it’s a Spurs bar it’s definitely the home of footy in the Bay. Closed down during COVID but reopened. I. SF City fans share Maggie McGarry’s with Arsenal fans. Maggie’s is okay — great prices and a proper City fan runs it — but no food and the TVs are too small IMO. My local is up in Marin County (the Mayflower) although not really because I am now majority-time in Bend, Oregon. Have one here I plan to try out though!

As noted — the Mad Hatter is gone and Amity Hall (the Greenwich Village location) is the new City pub in Manhattan and when I’ve been it’s been a great crowd.

Ahh, it was some 25 years ago. There were a few from the UK in there and some with Mancunian roots.
They fixed a quiz for me and my ex and basically we won a crate of beer (and my ex was pregnant at the time with the daughter who's coming to New York with me).

I'll see if I can dig out Amity Hall (a mix of Spielberg and Woody Allen...?)

Any last minute tips on a potential look at customs rifling through my socials?

Mainly stuff I like and talk about on here (unlikely to be that forensic) and liking posts on insta etc.

May delete from phone when I head over.

For the ESTA form (and I don't think this is a requirement yet?) I'll just add my very dry and vanilla LinkedIn page...
Was fine when I went in May. Didn't add anything on my ESTA and sailed through and I probably call Trump a **** on socials once a day!

Shocker, the ****'s a nonce

I'll call Ripley's
"Lord Mandelson called the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein his "best pal", according to a letter in an alleged "birthday book" that has been released by US lawmakers."

Two cheeks of the same arse.

Ahh, yeah I was probably being over cautious but one never knows!

Cheers!
No worries. I was the same too but just went with it.

Enjoy! Here's a few of best things we did....the High Line and Chelsea Market, a Broadway show (Book of Mormon, maybe not thus show for your daughter depending on age ha), a day in Brooklyn/Williamsburg, Summit/The Edge.

Presumably he simply means lose.
Citing Vietnam in a call to arms is a strange path to tread. Perhaps he's looking to the future when all the current ICE agents are treated as pariahs in the same way vietnam vets were? We can only hope

Is the Whitehouse's denial itself somewhat damning?

The White House on Monday denied its authenticity and said the president "did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it".

What about the text, Donald?
Is it the same as Andy’s ‘Cannot sweat’ moment.

Looks like there’s a lot more to this and hopefully it will all come out, giving the victims at least some piece of mind.

Thanks - was planning on Williamsburg/Brooklyn and the high line but i wasn’t aware of the Summit/Edge (will look up)!

i also wonder what Musk has on him. The full files have not been released of course, but I do speculate whether the richest man in the world has the resources to get a himself a copy by whatever means necessary.

I’d suggest that he already has a copy, and more, from when he was allowed to interrogate all of the federal filing systems when under control of DOGE.

That’s when he sent his infamous tweet.

SCOTUS approves racial profiling letting Mango Shitgibbon to instigate "Operation Midway Blitz!" on Chicago.

National guard will be in before the week is out.
Approval of detention based on ethnicity, language and job profile is nightmare stuff. It was on the shadow docket so we get few details. Right, so SCOTUS defends the constitution? Don’t make me laugh.

Musk had access to everybody's sensitive information that he could have easily scraped and kept a copy of as he left.
