Yes old Mad Dog — though it’s a Spurs bar it’s definitely the home of footy in the Bay. Closed down during COVID but reopened. I. SF City fans share Maggie McGarry’s with Arsenal fans. Maggie’s is okay — great prices and a proper City fan runs it — but no food and the TVs are too small IMO. My local is up in Marin County (the Mayflower) although not really because I am now majority-time in Bend, Oregon. Have one here I plan to try out though! We're going a week on Friday mate.
Heard the Mad hatter mentioned numerous times on here so may try and dig it out!
And ace - hope you both have an amazing trip.
I was under the impression that NYC had become truly corporate and had its wild soul ripped out, but watching this show suggests otherwise:

There was (is?) a similar place in San Francisco I visited a couple of times (25 years ago was the last visit) that @FogBlueInSanFran knows about (Mad Dog in the Fog).
One of the most welcoming pubs/bars I recall visiting (lot of ex pats/city fans that made that place their home).
As noted — the Mad Hatter is gone and Amity Hall (the Greenwich Village location) is the new City pub in Manhattan and when I’ve been it’s been a great crowd.
