I think whenever we are putting these 11s together, we should start by shoehorning Bernardo in. Whether or not we like it, whether or not it makes sense, I think we have to presume he's starting.

My guess:

Lewis -- Gvardiol -- Dias -- Ait Nouri
------------------Rodri
--------Reinjders ---- Bernardo
Foden --- - Haaland --- Savinho

I'd rather see Oscar up front and Foden in place of Bernardo and I'd swap Doku for Savhino. I'd also start Khusanov for Ruben, but that's a pipe dream.
 
Terrible news on Marmoush. We’re loads better when he’s in the side because of his unpredictability and urgency.

Pep is insistent on playing one of the highest lines in the league with the slowest CB pairing in the league. It wouldn't be as bad if they were getting covered from the full backs but Nunes and Ait Nouri are doing them no favours at all.

Our best bet would be to play 3-5-2 . Completely suffocate their counter attack and hopefully we'll have enough going forward to get a couple of goals.

Lol Pep will never go for a draw especially at home against a team lucky to beat Fulham & Burnley.

I think Bernardo will start largely because so manny appear to be out. I think we can get a draw or a scrappy win which is badly needed.
 
I know in the days of David James we ended up with him playing outfield but with this injury crisis it is Peps opportunity to play 3 keepers.

A point will definitely not be decent…that would almost certainly be 4 points from 5 games. Relegation form. Some of the players are on nearly half a million a week!
 
Away in Greece and just seen the forecast for Manchester this week, rain and thunderstorms. Wondering how it will affect Sunday and both teams

Three quickest defenders on the pitch plus Lewis (this is the exact kind of game he's suited to, at home against a poor side who will sit back and let us control possession).

Mate im sorry but i so strongly disagree with you. This is the fucking Manchester Derby we’re talking about. I dont know what age or status you are but to me and lots of other blues this is more than anything else. Nothing but a win is acceptable, and i hope after nearly ten years at the club, Pep knows that too. We have got to be going for a win on Sunday and i have a funny feeling thats what were going to get. These lot are shit, and we are underrated. and with donnarumma we have a keeper who will not fuck up.
