Chelsea hit with 74 FA charges for alleged rule breaches

I thought when you were buying a business you were given full access to the accounts to go over with a fine tooth comb, would the errors be easy to miss? If so, how come they spotted them further down the line?

Did the Russian own to this to get round the American cartel rules /?
Got you
Dont think so as the charges are historic before the yanks moved in maybe the introduction of FFP by the existing cartel of rags, arsenal and spud

Agent Regulation rules between 2009 and 2022 under Roman Abramovich.Breaches relate primarily to the period 2010/11-2015/16. Chelsea have until 19 September to answer.

Errors??? That's being mightily generous.

No it doesn’t seem to, I mean surely due diligence would be front and centre when checking the accounts of the business you are going to be throwing a few billion at to acquire.

From Chelsea's statement:-

"The Club’s ownership group completed its purchase of the club on 30 May 2022. During a thorough due diligence process prior to completion of the purchase, the ownership group became aware of potentially incomplete financial reporting concerning historical transactions and other potential breaches of FA rules. Immediately upon the completion of the purchase, the Club self-reported these matters to all relevant regulators, including The FA.

"The Club has demonstrated unprecedented transparency during this process, including by giving comprehensive access to the Club’s files and historical data. We will continue working collaboratively with The FA to conclude this matter as swiftly as possible."

Is the bit in blue a pop at us, a sort of "don't look here, look over there" scam?

So why hasn’t sky got someone in going through some of these charges like of the books payments to Hazard so they get the player?! If they get away with this Forest Everton should sue the premier
