Transferring a ticket

id rather the seat went empty then give it back to them to sell to a daytripper

Don't attend a certain amount of games in a season then they'll whip that ticket right off you and bang it lock stock and barrel onto some vague ticket scan site they employ.

I can't see how anyone can defend that behaviour it's disgraceful.

most games will get attended and thats fine but ill be damned if im handing something i pay for back over to them to do with as they wish when i can give it to someone i know is a fan.

At the bottom it says sales of tickets to the rags game are limited to zero per person are the club saying we flat out cant transfer our tickets for this game?
You can only transfer to someone with a paid membership, or 1 of 3 nominated none paid members who don't already have a ticket for the match.

Im acting as a go between. A mate has a season ticket but is working on Sunday, he has transferred it to another friend of mine who is a member. It says it has gone through and the ticket will be emailed to the member, who has also received an email from city for the match day guide on Sunday so its obviously been accepted. But as yet he has not received the email with the ticket nor has it gone direct into his wallet. Any ideas before the dreaded phone call to city.

Given you can wait more than an hour on the phone, it may be better to wait until Sunday - and, if the ticket has not appeared in the wallet, go to the stadium a bit early and try to solve the issue there. Maybe they will put extra staff at the stadium than are available today on the phone.

I have tried to transfer my ticket to a friend as i am working. Am close to giving up.

I can't transfer to him as site says he has been assigned too many tickets ( a complete lie). I cannot strongly link to him as he has already done that with someone else, who he is also taken a ticket off, as he is going with nephew. He is a season ticket holder not on cup scheme. It's an absolute disgrace that i cannot send a ticket to the person who sits behind me at matches.

If you're in the cup scheme you can transfer to season ticket holders not in cup scheme, plus anyone else in your list presumably

Could be wrong but I thought if they are a paid member they now have to log in to their ticketing account and download from there rather than getting an email like before (or like non paid members do)

If someone else has sent him a ticket already then you can't send him a ticket as he would then have 2 tickets in his name.

By the way, you can strongly link to multiple people.

Thanks for that mate the ticket was in his account. This website is far more helpful and easier to understand than any of the official statements the club put out

You'll need to ask them not me. I agree it's pathetic.

My missus has used my son's ticket for years if he's not been able to go, he has given mine to his mates when I couldn't go. Now all we can do is put them on the ticket exchange, if one of us can't go, so now they get to sell 2 tickets instead of 1.
I’m on holiday in Japan.bad timing I know . Normally would have let my son give it a mate but can’t do it now. £25 to become member. Absolute disgrace. They will get no new local fans this way anymore. Just an excuse to wring last £ they can out of people.it will bite them on bum when attendances start to drop once they fall out of top 4 etc.

But if you aren’t bothered about getting money back then your son’s mate could just buy a membership for £25/£35 and get to see a game which is good value compared to someone who is buying their tickets directly.

I appreciate there’ll be some where this £35 is a problem to find but from a business perspective for a fan buying it they probably then feel the need to purchase more tickets directly per season to justify buying the membership.

can anyone help with this one-
my mate bought a ticket for the spurs game from one of these 3rd party sites he got the ticket and everything was ok apart from the result, This morning a ticket for the derby has apeared in his wallet under the same name different block and seat,he's not been charged, rightly or wrongly he's thinking of using it,could there be problems?

Well the worst that could happen is that his ticket doesn't work at the turnstile.

He may not have a seat to sit in if the real ticket holder turns up.

If it were me, I would go and see if anyone was sat in the seat at kick off. If they were, I'd look for another empty seat at 10 minutes into the game and just loiter around at the back.
Will be easier if it's in the south stand rather than one if the others.

Happened to me years ago. My mate got posted 2 tickets for Bolton away from city in the post. We went and it was fine. The 2 whose tickets they were came over to say hello and have a laugh about it because they knew what had happened. They had spoke to city to say their tickets hadn't arrived so they got sent 2 more for different seats.
