If the City players give 100% and lose you can not ask for more, But when it starts to feel some players are coasting and don't care enough, you have a major problem

I go back to the first 8 seasons under Pep and at no stage would he have taken losing ? Players were sold and moved on pretty quickly if they were coasting. The Hunger and fire Pep ruled with an iron fist and you knew Pep was not happy

But last season Pep came out and said its ok not win titles and cups ? That sort of shocked me and it didn't feel right
Pep settled for failure and the players knew they were not getting the hairdryer and dropped,

Look, it's still early doors,
but this is not a settled squad by any means and the Brighton game was so like last season and City waved away the fight and let Brighton steamroll us in the 2nd half, It's like when the other team fancy a fight, we don't and turn off
and that screams lack of hunger and fire in the bully from players and the Manager.

I hope I am wrong and want nothing more than City to come out and fight tooth and nail for every ball, but we are a mess at the minute and injury hit again and NO fullbacks and Rodri is Nursing a comeback and needs to find his feet

So it doesn't fill me with any sort of hope that the City starting line-up can keep a clean sheet so our attacking players can fill their boots with goals knowing we will not leak goals

Harsh. Maybe Pep has seen some progression in training or in other respects from him? You never know, certainly not till we see him in action for us again.

Perhaps him and Rico can create a good partnership this season on that right hand side …

All I hear is that we need to do better. Well start by running yourselves into the ground on Sunday. Stop hiding and turn up.

Put more effort in and the wins will come. Continue to make excuses, injuries, no pre season, new players not ready etc.

It’s time we all turn the page and start to demand an awful lot more. So far they are getting an easy ride.
