Apologies for the delay, glad you are now on the move.
This is a joke its the 3rd time I have to get a Uber due to bus 7 being late. It's only just got to New Mills and will be at least 30min to great more never mind 19min behind

Please be aware that due to a police incident there is a closure on the M60 between J23-J22 anticlockwise. Manchester Road is also closed in both directions.

Hi this is not just a inconvenience this is a complete lack of confidence now going forward I will not be thinking of getting this service again as it is at least the 7th time of it being more than 20min late of in other cases not turning up. Why are routes not being checked for traffic or taking alternative routes or even let people know before the bus doesn't turn up on time so we can make alternative arrangements?

I completely understand your frustration. We do monitor routes but unfortunately we cannot contact drivers whilst they are driving to inform them once they are on the move.

Thank you for the reply.

When we set off we passed huge queues on the A6 between Disley and New Mills. I think the MC07 bus must have got caught up in that and hence was late. The driver also took us all the way into the Etihad and was very apologetic.

Those slagging off the company they have no control over the traffic, it’s a fucking nightmare these days, if they set off any earlier people would be moaning they don’t want to go that early. Buses can’t just change routes there are bridges etc they can’t go under, most drivers know alternative routes but the amount of roadworks these days they could just as easily run into them on another route. I see they said they can’t contact the drivers once they’ve set off maybe put something in place were they can. I didn’t use the service yesterday I had to drive but I for one welcome the stress free bus.

Do you have to use the bus going to use it going back now? I didn't think you had to as I haven't in the past (I've used it both ways) but got turned away yesterday as I didn't have a return ticket, didn't even know you could prebook your return seat.

Which bus was it? I think the two shuttle buses from town have to be pre-booked via City, but the others are turn up and pay. If you buy a return ticket on the first journey they reserve a place on the return journey as they know you will be using it. It would be unfair otherwise.

I really want the Bus Service to work and will probably be boarding at Hazel Grove on Thursday for the Napoli game.

However, as somebody who previously lived in Whaley Bridge for 40 years, I can assure you that you don't need to listen to traffic bulletins to know that the stretch from the A555 bypass to New Mills will be rammed every single Sunday lunchtime with day trippers heading for the Peak District or shoppers heading for the Tesco's at Whaley.

It's the same for evening fixtures as the rush hour bottleneck from the bypass runs all the way up the A6

This needs to be taken into account or you'll continue to experience the same issues.

It was mc11, it goes to boothstown, not usually a pre book either way, the driver turned us away saying he was sold out as he'd sold returns on the way. I didn't know you could do that, I thought it was just first come first served etc. Not a big deal I walked into town and got the 35, just wanted to know for future really

If there’s 60 places on the bus and 50 people buy a return ticket on the first journey, the driver can only sell 10 singles after the game before the bus is technically full. They have to reserve places for those buying a return ticket because they might have to come from the top tier or be elderly so a first-come, first-served system would be unfair. It’s not pre-booking.

I understand, I didn't know you could buy returns but makes sense. Cheers

Standing room only on the MC13 coming home, good to see its popular but hope it doesn't get too busy people start being turned away.
We will be monitoring the data and if required we will look to add additional services where required to ensure you can all travel comfortably.

Was this on MC11? It was really busy yesterday so we were just making sure passengers who had bought a return ticket could get on but usually if it’s not full it’s fine to buy a single one way. We are working with the operator and looking at passenger counts to see if this was a one off or needs an additional service. I am really sorry you got turned away yesterday and any inconvenience that caused to you.

Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely pass that on to be considered.

I'm glad return tickets are being included before single return only sales. We always buy returns but have had a few occasions where we've just about got on the return.
Anyway, apart from a few teething issues at the beginning our bus seems to be reliable now (MC10).
Keep up the good work

MC12 was 20 minutes late arriving at Ramsbottom.
The driver (good guy) managed to keep to the schedule between stops on the way to the ground so kudos for that.
Just made us a little anxious for a while.
Prefer using the bus to driving and I can write "Bruno is a twat" in the condensation on the window.
