Absolute Joke In Block 315 Bar | City sack employee for wearing United shirt

Absolute joke City letting one of the bar staff in Block 315 wear a Utd shirt on Derby Day.

People are missing a major point!

It’s about respect it’s not about how people respond to the Man City worker In a rag shirt in a derby, it’s about the employed respecting where he is working! Zero respect.

If the club had a policy of only employing City fans, we'd have a very weak squad and very little money.

I can't believe anyone would be surprised that rags wouldn't have jobs at City, I know of one or two in the ticket office. There are City fans working at the swamp, and their last club secretary was a die hard Scouser.

Wearing a rag shirt at work on derby day is just to be expected. I'd be wearing a City shirt every day if I worked at the swamp.
Except the issue isn't who the lad, or any other member of staff supports. You know this.

I'd wager that if you worked at the swamp and rocked up wearing a City shirt, you'd also be sent home.

i'm not condoning it,
but i think he has played it quite well...

not a chance there's anything in his contract
(if he even has one)
saying he cannot do what he did.

= turns up in a rag shirt,
gets swiftly sent home on a full day's pay.
gets his face all over social media.
king for a day on full pay.

I would assume there is absolutely something in the contract about not wearing clothing associated with other football teams while working for the club. I would be shocked if there were not.

It may well be under “considering the safety of you, your colleagues and your customers”.

He obviously wore it for attention. He was lucky none of it gave him a slap.

he's lucky, remember in 90's v ushited a security guy started giving it large trying to throw a lad out when someone saw his red pin badge, he got absolutely pummelled and his security mate next to him stood back laughing and said i did warn him. they make them a bit dense down the road.

I know a rag season ticket holder works at our place. Doubt they turn up for work inappropriately dressed and this is the case here. Don’t care who he supports but also did his manager or agency not tell him what to wear. Presume his top was zipped up when he turned up for work and then he thought he was being smart by having top on view. Absolute moron and if he never works again he only has himself to blame.

I did once attend a conference event at Old Trafford. It was organised by the University of Salford and the conference dinner was in the hospitality suite at the swamp.

I had a weeks stay in Manchester - three days at the conference and the rest to look around. I had earlier been to the club shop and bought a new black and red top. It was just before Aguero’s home debut with the three goals against Wigan.

I went to the dinner with my City strip under my shirt but around half way through I went to the toilet and revealed my strip to great hilarity all around when I returned. The venue had views onto the pitch. I had photographs taken with the pitch in the background. The conference organiser was fine. He was a Warrington RL supporter.

That was a time when Old Trafford looked almost a decent stadium before the thirteen years of neglect rendered it a laughing stock.
