I think he been a bit of a scapegoat for our recent decline.
Ironically, those unfit to play are much more liked than Father Ruben. Some are so biased it's unreal.
Dias was great today. Those wondering about his new contact look silly.

That’s one of our tactics to get the opposition out of their shape.I think he holds onto the ball to long when’s he’s standing still encouraging the opposition to close him down which tends to bring panic onto the defence.
Worth noting that he was only up against Benjamin Tesco.Thought he was excellent all around, but was particularly impressed by his strength in the air today. Nearly as dominant as Big Erl
Every little helpsWorth noting that he was only up against Benjamin Tesco.
Oh dear...mom in champions league finalNot particularly. He had decent spells but the same old problems were still there. He's an erratic defender who lacks authority when under pressure. As a player, he's the polar opposite of John Stones
In a nutshell, in my opinion, Ruben Dias is absolutely nowhere near being an 'elite' footballer.

He has had a poor 18 months, but so have most of the team and not helped by not having a consistent partner in that time….he was immense yesterday and certainly performed at an elite level. But he wasn't, and he's definitely not an elite level defender.

Let’s hope he continues !
we played a bit deeper today which lead to more controlGlad to see he was getting back to his old form. Confident defending and did well, mostly, in marshalling the backline
Keep digging that holeBut he wasn't, and he's definitely not an elite level defender.
Keep digging that hole
One game ?It's my opinion. I don't think he's a particularly confident player, and his form has been erratic for a few years. He'll have some good games but he isn't captain material, and I certainly wouldn't have him as a first choice in my team.
As I said... that's my opinion. Your opinion seems to be based entirely on one game in which you thought he was MOM, and then you say I'm 'digging a hole'. You're living in blue tinted glasses.
One game ?
