Absolute Joke In Block 315 Bar | City sack employee for wearing United shirt

There's some daft posts doing the rounds on "X".

Rags are making out like he's lost his livelihood. Give over, he's lost a casual job that's a few hours a month with home games being spread out. I'm sure there's a few shifts going for gigs and any other international fixtures but let's not make out he's lost a full time job (I'm not trivialising the employment for the record).

It is simple, he wore a utd shirt for social media attention and to mock the club when he should have been focusing on the job he's paid to do. The service before the game and at half time is bad enough without those at the tills wearing utd shirts. Fuck around, find out.

Yeah im not cheering for anyone getting fired here, but its a few hours work on a weekend that he's lost for trying to be a knob. "Don't wear the opponents shirt" doesn't need explaining to bar staff at a football stadium.

Actions have consequences. Hopefully he'll learn this now

Fuck the prick. I've just seen this. He has a YouTube channel. I have no doubt he would have posted a video of him wearing the shirt if he wasn't removed from serving. Either way he's on a winner. The publicity generated was ll boost his YouTube channel. Knob.

The **** was lucky not to be chinned, let alone sacked.

I do hope they've started a gofund me and sorted the **** out with the name of someone who owns a pair of scissors.

Absolutely, just like the yank pricks filming themselves wearing rag shirts outside. In the old days all of them would have been kicked to fuck, fortunately for them nobody wants to be banned for life these days for doing so. They know this so take absolute liberties.

It's much more than simply not wearing the correct uniform though isn't it.

It was a clearly an attempt at being provocative and aggravating.
Exactly. It's a clear safety issue. You'd get kicked out of the stadium as a punter for wearing a rag shirt in the City end, so how can you allow a member of staff to openly do the same? You can technically receive a stadium ban for doing it as a fan, so I see no problem with a staff member being fired for the same. They almost certainly have a uniform policy that forbids wearing rival teams' shirts.

I've got a rag mate who worked for City for a while, but he managed to do so without being a dickhead and was able to not get fired. It's not difficult.

A barber could get some free publicity. I can see the headlines now. " Sympathetic hairdresser offers sacked Manchester United fan free makeover" or some such shite.

Surprised the old bill didnt nick the twat for his own safety.
It's a sad world when twats think its OK to wind people up and then moan like fuck when they get twatted.

They were approached and spoken to a few times by the police and advised to take the shirts off for their own safety. As usual they back chatted the police. The police should have nicked them for breach of the peace as they weren't going into the game and their actions were actually doing just that.

Why didn't he just zip his jacket up if he didn't want to be a "provocateur".

Silly stuff all round really.

I would assume there is absolutely something in the contract about not wearing clothing associated with other football teams while working for the club. I would be shocked if there were not.

Regardless, it does not matter. It is a sackable offence.

Personally, it would not have bothered me. I probably would have found it amusing and would have had banter about the score. However, what he did could have provoked others. Silly thing to do when some will be drunk. The kind of behaviour that puts himself and his colleague at risk of harm. he probably thought he was being smart but it was a dumb thing to do.
