Bradford City thread

I saw a Bradford fan this morning, and complimented him on the start they have made to the season.

I mentioned that I’m a City supporter, and he came out with, "You just buy your trophies".

I asked, "Would you turn down an owner like Sheikh Mansour?"

"No," he admitted.

"Well, there you are, then."

Same as every football team ever!

Probably a plastic

I’d settle for a Bradford and Lincoln 1-2.
Or even more preferably a Lincoln and Bradford 1-2.

My Lincoln mates and I were so close to going to that fateful day at Valley Parade 40 years ago. Nobody wanted to go to the Charlton match with me unfortunately.

The Bantams are still very much in the fight for an automatic promotion place.

They’re currently third, four points behind leaders Cardiff, having played the same number of games, and one point behind Lincoln, who have played one game more.

Wouldn’t it be fitting, if the two clubs forever closely entwined by the tragic events of 11th May 1985 at Valley Parade, were to gain automatic promotion in this the 40th anniversary year of the fire?

I support Lincoln, and we would love it, however I think the Imps will fall just short. We lack a bit of firepower that the other teams seem to possess, but we are well organised this year and hard to beat on the whole.

I am of the same feeling some of the big hitters are in behind us and unless we have a good window can see us dropping off.
We aint played well or dominated a game for months now but credit to our manager turning us into a nasty team to beat.
Still if we do drop then i will be satisfied the whole aim this season was to stay up :)

Btw i wouldnt be to shocked if you lot went the distance been pulling a lot of convincing wins out there

@Bantamgaz Saw a stat yesterday that said City had won the most home games (19) in 2025 across Europe.

Impressive stuff, after years of trying to get out of League 2, just imagine double dipping and being in the Championship next season.

Fingers crossed :)

I’ll start believing if we can take a point against Huddersfield tomorrow, which also will slow their recent good run of form.

Most Lincoln supporters are behind Bradford going up even if we cannot.

All the best for 2026!

Same to you after 1985 i think both sets of fans want the best for each other apart from when we play each other ........... just a feeling that we are more than pushing above our level
