Do You Vote?

many people said shitgibbon wouldn't win the first time and he definitely wouldn't win the third time. Complacency like this allows shit to happen :/
I agree, which is why I think that anyone that doesn't want that sort of politics in the UK should do what they can to make sure they dont win.

To anyone with half a braincell you're right, but there appears to be many without that facility, here as well as 'murica

I voted in every election, local, national, European and plebiscites for over 50 years. Then, at the last G.E., I pondered what reason I could think of that any of my local candidates deserved my little cross. Nope, nada, nothing. So I broke the habit of a lifetime and didn’t bother.
I’ve lived at my current address for 20 years, not once have the libs done so much as even post a leaflet.

Someone else did, they always do. Anyhow Reform will not win a general election.

They are massive favourites at the moment. Although they might not have a majority so they will possibly have to find someone willing to play second fiddle. Maybe Lib Dems will sacrifice all their values for a seat at the table of power again?

No other party is close to a majority otherwise.

I doubt it will be with the Lib Dems. They are too far apart ideologically, and most Lib Dem supporters would be horrified with such an association, including their MP's.

If there is to be a coalition, it's most likely going to be with the remains of the tory party. Many tories share the right wing views of Reform, and it would be a workable political alliance.

No parties other than the tories, which are all left of centre, would seriously consider working with reform.

They're only favourites until their policies are exposed and scrutinised. People should wise up then

That's expected as they provide soundbites that gives them a headline. 4 years out from a GE, as time passes they will have to show more than just immigration to be considered serious and frankly, they have nothing
all parties give soundbites, most are not reported, reforms are no matter how insignificant and normally given headlime status.

the imbalance is glaringly obvious

I have always voted, I believe everyone should given so many people worldwide are denied the privilege. However I am finding it increasing difficult to find a party who align with my views.

Given that I voted Labour last time round i am questioning my own ability to make a rational decision as well

Yeah I agree. Sorry I'm still sore about what the Lib Dems did in the 2010 election. Sold themselves out big time.

I was actually thinking of voting Tory for the first time in the next GE purely to try and block Reform. Who are currently favourites in our constituency. But if there's even a whiff of them going into a coalition then I'll just have to spoil my ballot.

Edit - Although saying that I may as well just gamble on a Tory vote anyway. It's either going to be Reform or Tory around here so may as well just go for Tory in the hope they don't go into a coalition.

Question for someone with a good memory. Did the Lib Dems say they would consider a coalition with the Tories before the 2010 GE? I.e did their voters actually know that before they voted?
