Dundee school obtain tickets for Liverpool game

Surely the Flexi-Gold fixes your problem. I wish they had that when mine went to uni, I’m still trying to get his back 7 years later.
Not sure it would work. What guarantee would there be he could turn existing ST into a flexi gold and furthermore, would he be guaranteed same seat? And could he turn flexi back to full ST once finished studies?
Might just make him study at UMIST.

It’s abysmal isn’t it? I’m really fortunate and my son has his season ticket next to me. He’s approaching the time where he’s considering university applications- I’ve not factored in that he might have to give up his ticket as I want his / our decision to be based purely on educational grounds but I’m half-secretly hoping he wants to go somewhere commutable every other weekend. ‘Cos I know that once that ticket is given up, it ain’t never coming back.
You have my sympathy on this. “Even when another generation…” they just won’t be there. Criminal
The story of how the club fucked my sons off is so upsetting I haven’t even posted it on here.

When I went to uni I travelled to most City games and met my dad and it kept us close. City has been the thing that has bonded us for 50 years. You’re lucky mate.

Any ST can “downgrade” to flexi-gold (I’m assuming the seat is the same) and when you do 16 games in a season on FG can upgrade to full ST. Sure I read that during the summer.

Now whether that would still be the same in the future? Who knows.

Even with the new match day ticket prices local City fans don’t seem to be bothering with the Burnley game. Still loads of tickets left.

Kids should be no more than a tenner all over the ground.

Are they on open sale, or do you still need a thirty quid membership just to have the privilege of buying a ticket? I'd imagine that's a barrier to many, not just for this game.

Same.
Had mine next to my Dad since 84. Kept it at University, and also then when living in Ireland for 6 years. Travelling back all the time to see City and my Mum & Dad.
Its been brilliant for me and my Dad.
Sad that it's over for this generation

If I remember correctly ’City in the Community’ are very involved with local schools.
Alex Williams and Paul Lake both came to events at the school where I was Chair of Governors.
Nice to hear Paul and Alex are supporting our much maligned hooligan firm

My dad got too old to renew this year after a lifetime and City wouldn’t let my two lads renew their flexi gold tickets despite having thousands of loyalty points. This was because my dad broke his hip, missed most of the season and my son’s used his tickets instead of buying their seats as flexi golds members. They bought the first 8 games with this, and paid the £150, but that wasn’t enough for City, even though they attended every game in every competition.

Now they’ve got Saturday jobs and are potentially lost. And I go on my own without my dad or sons. I can’t forgive City for this.

Then 52 kids from Dundee could come to this without any mither. Bringing the Burnley game into the equation is defeating your point.

That is after years of being priced out and treated like customers, instead of fans. Plenty of non season ticket holders and locals were at the Napoli game

I’ve just had a look and unless I’ve read it wrong, it’s £46 for citizen member in ss3 - not exactly cheap is it. Napoli was £35. The north stand is £38 and it’s mainly single seats.

Newcastle did this and the fans kicked off and they backed down

Why does no one at the club care about our own fans ?

No £35 membership needed here. A coach load of Dundee/ Dundee Utd / Rangers / Celtic / Liverpool/ Man U fans in our seats for a must win game and where the atmosphere needs to be partisan and at a time when more restrictions are being forced onto existing fans.

This also affects availability of tickets for proper City fans.

A load of Liverpool fans In our end for City v Liverpool. Great
Hospitality package surely, is it known what they paid?

Like the ten pin bowling, those pins won't go down quicker than Salah that's for sure.

I wonder how many people who were aged 20-30 who had a season card / ticket when we moved from Maine road are still holders now? I wonder of those still alive still even receive correspondence from the club? Do the club care? Saturday 3.00ko and still plenty of seats left. How the fuck will we sell 7k more in January?

That is proper shite mate.
Shame on City.
All the fuckin sacrifices we've made to watch City for decades.....

Have we found out yet if it is genuine ?

My money is on it being one of those oh so funny internet pranks.
Likely to be true, as I said earlier, these trips are available for any school to apply for (my non local school has been to 2 championsl league matches in recent years). Details are on the City website: Manchester City Group Bookings https://share.google/pymcB3u79fHu5BNWK

They didn’t even fucking ring me back. Every home game - 70 years for my dad, 50 for me, 10 already for my boys. Three generations reduced to one because my lad’s used my dad’s redundant two seats when he lost the ability to walk.
