I love Stones, we all do and hes great player, but I felt John was too cautious with his challenges. Maybe he still has subconscious concerns and avoids going into full-blooded duels due to injuries. But it’s really important to constantly disrupt the opponent receiving the ball, etc. Stones will improve, but for now I agree—Dias and Gvardiol been better.
We all love John Stomes but we don’t love him as much as Eccles Blue.

Hi she.

Donnarumma

Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly

Rodri
Reijnders
Foden

Doku
Savinho
Haaland

Burnley are actually doing well so far, they've been competitive in most of their games other than Tottenham. They'll sit deep and make themselves tough to beat, hopefully we can get an early goal.

Not sure what the consensus is on this board but - let's not boo Kyle. He had some great years for us. Notwithstanding his off pitch antics. Made some mistakes for us on the pitch in his last year but - let's play nice.
I agree. Sure, he's no King Kev, but he has been instrumental in our success over the years.

Let them have some of the ball, let them break out of defense and then once we’ve got the ball back go at them like we’ve been doing this season. Hope it’s not one of those games where we’re facing 10 men behind the ball for 90% of the game.

Once a Blue, Always a Blue…even if he did want out while wearing the Captain’s armband, and living a stupid private life.

On the field, he was huge until his positional sense on the back post became a liability and his reliance on speed stopped him defending.

As a Blue, he’ll be an integral part of the legacy of success at this club. For that, I’ll be eternally grateful.

He was a great player, absolutely undoubtedly. Not sure he's a great player right now.

Need a Haaland hat trick!

I'm feeling optimistic so going for 5-nill victory.
I'd prefer if a few of the others pitched in.
Haaland the only one scoring, while great for him personally, could put too much pressure on him

if Khusonov isnt available it has to be Nunes with his second half performance vs Arsenal. He has physicality at least which is needed in that position. Overall he aint good enough but he is the next best option...the only other optin could be Stones but is he fit enough

-------Donarumma------

Nunes----Dias--Gvardiol----OReilly

-----------Rodri----Nico G

bernardo---Foden -------Doku-----

----Haaland--------

Nico G over Reijders as he needs a step back and to sit out a game ------plus we may need Nico G's physicality as well....

Though we are at home

The starting eleven picks itself for this one. Donarumma, Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O' reilly, Rodri, Bernardo, Reijnders, Foden, Doku, Haaland

Be nice to get some stronger options on the bench soon as it looks really weak at present

Stones inverted right back all day long for me for this one with kuz out. If he’s fit, why wouldn’t you play John boy.

Donna
Stones Dias Gvardiol O’Reilly
Rodders (60 mins) Reinders
Foden
Bernie Erling Doku

A vastly improving Nico on for Rodger’s at 60

4-0

Can't believe Walker wouldn't get anything other than a great reception - he was absolutely key for us and was immense. Not many players can just mark Vinicius and Mbappe for fun across a few games as well!! At his peak with us he was the best right back in the world and for me is a legend.

Anyway, Burnley will sit back and defend and try to keep the score decent. Personally, I think I'd sit deep a bit and invite them on a bit then counter them. If we can get an early goal it could be a big score line.

Kick off time 15:00 BST.

----------Donnarumma
Lewis---Dias---Gvardiol---O'Reilly
-----------------Rodri
--------Reijnders--Foden
Bernardo---Haaland------Doku

Khusanov out injured. Hoping Haaland is okay.

There's maybe a chance to start Gonzalez or Ake to give others more rest.

Kovacic in training. Marmoush and Cherki still out I think.

Another clean sheet and a few goals would be nice. Monaco away on Wednesday, so a comfortable win please.

Burnley are better than most people expected they would be but we have to now go on a run of wins.
Stones at RB instead of Rico?
