Arsenal thread | 2025/26

They seem to have adopted a full-on win-at-all-costs mentality.

A bit of a departure from their usual faux moral high ground bollocks.

Not everyone's cup-of-tea but if they land one of the major titles, they won't give a shit.

Good luck to them.

Not sure where this entitlement comes from. You aren’t running anyone down in a title race as you have proven time and time again you don’t have the nerve.

Your only hope is doing what Liverpool did last season and building an insurmountable lead. If ourselves or Liverpool are in range come April then one of us will be winning it.
We ran Liverpool down 2 years ago when they were miles ahead and everyone was saying they would win the league. Unfortunately for us City managed to get 1 more point than we did but we won 16 of our final 18 matches.

So you ran down the team that finished 3rd?

Oh my apologies…

I'd fear City being 3 points behind us in April more than the Dippers being 3 points ahead of us in April.

Arsenal now have a striker, who could be the key to winning the tight games by having something different
Also the corners and free-kick goals are a big bonus, it's great for the Premier League if 3 or 4 teams are in the race

The truth is we are all football fans and want our team to be in with a shout and let the best team win

Arsenal will be the one I fear most if City are still in the race, The Hunger in wanting to get over the line only builds when you keep coming up short, I think Arsenal have added well and having a striker changes everything this season

You say it creates hunger I say it creates doubts. Far better to be in a position of experience where you have been there and done it. So Liverpool is the threat for me.

The new striker Arsenal have added is average at best as well. He will be benched when Havertz regains fitness

The biggest issue people seem to have is that they score them by breaking the rules, pretty much the entire team are fouling anybody around them up to and including the defending keeper.
It's the Donald Trump tactic of flooding the field of play with so much unsporting behaviour at once that nobody knows where to look so they get away with it.
Anybody else blocking off, shoving or jumping into the keeper without attempting to play the ball and it gets spotted and a foul given. When Arsenal do it, there's another guy grappling a defender, another one dropping to the floor holding their face and somebody else running across the box straight into a defender then throwing themselves over and myriad other instances of shithousery going on so they get away with it time and time again.
What happened to this seasons new rules on grappling on corners ?

STOP just STOP, stop trying to justify that bullshit with whataboutery as it quite simply just will not fly, saliba was nowhere near the ball and he intentionally took him out of being able to land properly and therefore putting him at risk of injury, so he intentionally injured him, there is no other justification for it.

Just because other people have got away with it makes it no less disgusting and doesnt justify it by any means, saliba knew exactly what he was doing and there was absolutely no need to do it.
Did he even get booked yesterday?

Saliba should be fucking ashamed of himself he has intentionally set out to injure a fellow pro and the fact that the press are silent about it is disgraceful.

Newcastle came to kick us off the pitch with a ref that's a Liverpool fan. Many teams including Barcodes deals with Saka by kicking him off the pitch. Gyokeres got his face grabbed and then thrown on the floor. Over the years we've seen talented players like Diaby, Wilshere, Ramsey, Rosicky careers destroyed because 'Arsenal don't like it up them'

Saliba saw that happening to Saka and co and levelled a player in retaliation. If you can't take it don't dish it out. You must be new to football too, by the 90s and 00s standards, this is very mild.

Absolute bollocks. He has improved a little but it doesn't take much for him to fall over. To be blunt, he's a fucking cheat.
As to the rest of your post Arsenal really were mild mannered when you had Adams, Winterburn, Bould, Dixon, Vieira and Keown weren't you? Practically your full team at the moment can best be described as cloggers.

What a fucking shock arsenal fans justifying their constant bullshit with a woe is me tale, u lot are the image of your manager.

Saliba levelled a player in retaliation? He jumped into a player when he was in the air, thats a cowards move by any definition but thats you lot all over

Seriously the thought of that smug prick Arteta lifting the premier league trophy makes me feel sick. Not a Liverpool fan by any means but Arne Slot is an absolute saint compared to that other cretin.

Saka must still have an inner ear problem..it affects his balance quite a lot.. usually near the penalty area.
Either that or he's just a fucking cheating ****..hmm I wonder which it is.

The thing with the striker is it's not just the threat of goals, but having to mark them ? It's the space when the centre-backs have to pick him up, it's just having a striker on the field that needs marking, Last season, the old Arsenal had no striker and few options and you sort of knew they can only play one way.

Now they have a striker they can play him on the back of the defender or just in the hole between the lines, even over the top with a long ball, all of that was missing from Arsenal and maybe was the reason they failed
