You are correct that ‘United are a gravy train’ but not in the way you mean: they are ‘a gravy train’ for the media. Guaranteed max coverage for anything rags. More clicks, more from advertisers when showing rags on TV, I could go on but you get the idea. Loads of media people making loads of money from the rags and hence you will find them constantly being referenced.
Hate to say this but they get the exposure from people like me when things are going bad for the poor little darlings just for the laughs ,
Just can't help myself hearing about their shit.
Funny as fuck, I love it.

Spuds are going legal for failure to pay

Interesting that an owner sponsoring his own club with an associated company is considered dodgy but sponsoring a rival but pulling out late leaving them unable to replace the sponsorship is ok. I’m not claiming that’s what happened but similar to shareholder loans, billionaires can influence in many ways.

My favourite part of the season. They normally have a performance early doors like Arsenal this season that gets them giddy again. Followed by a defeat they make excuses for because ‘new signings need time to bed in’ or someat similar. By the end of Sept they know the reality that they’re in for another season of absolute shite.
Beautiful isn't it.

It helps take away the sadness of the end of summer sun.

It's even better this year after Grimsby and no waiters/bottle washers to play in far flung corners of Europe.

Let's just put something into perspective.
Rug Head has, according to your post, 'won 5 league titles in 13 years'

Phil Foden has won 6 (six) league titles in 8 years.

Fuck off you fat whale.

There was something on youtube the other day about rug head being a pl legend.
I posted what he won compared to Phil and aske the question if rug head is a legend what is Phil ?
Also pointed out that his goals per game was shit, 1 in 4 compared to Segio who was 1 in 2.
You can guess the replies/abuse i got lol

It’s getting harder and harder to see how they dig themselves out of this malaise. They really do only have one player who anyone might call “world class” and he is a pouty fuck who barely shows up half the time. From there, a few players with promise, but there appears to be zero cohesion, little belief in the manager (who looks like he’s on suicide watch half the time), and an owner who screams “save money on the plebs!” while spunking £200M on a completely unproven forward line…having fucked off the last round of expensive forward talent and Rashford!

It’s going to take a serious manager, who can bring in a spine for the team to build around, strict standards of behavior and a playing style that even remotely suggests they might be able to turn the corner to become a European contender.

It looks like a serious challenge which I hope they are Ill-equipped to address!

This is why apt doesnt work and cant work, in the rarified world of billionaires the reach is that far that influence can happen from all over the place in ways you would never even think of.

It's a terrific insight really - check out these well thought out verses;

'But Rooney added that some current players "don't deserve to wear the shirt", the side "needs a new engine" and supporters are "waiting for the club to crumble".

"I am not seeing anything which is giving me any confidence, there needs to be big changes in my opinion," said the former England striker, who won five league titles during 13 years at Old Trafford.

"Manager, players, whatever that is. Whatever it takes to get Manchester United back."

Who the fuck listens to Shredded Wheat head!?!

Just a few repeated verses of cliche and not a single offered solution - this from a 'manager' that is recently in the game.

The BBC are actually paying for this level of output - fuck me.............
Agreed, he's an even worse pundit than he was a Manager.

Who in their right mind would listen to his incoherent waffle?

if you are talking about ratboy, he isnt world class, he is just a good player in a sea of shit and that is all, he is a good player and that is all, he isnt close to being world class nor will he ever be.

Not me, I want them relegated into obscurity.
But relegation wouldn't put them into obscurity, they would almost certainly come straight back up and the media wankfest... "phoenix rising from the flames" etc etc would be utterly nauseating.

Obscurity is them staying in the Prem and languishing near the relegation zone season in season out, nothing more than inconsequential, irrelevant, lower table cannon fodder there to just make up the numbers.

Ohhh I don't know, if they were financially crippled it would be a lot (And I mean a lot) harder for them to recover and they'd struggle like Leeds did and it wouldn't be as easy as Rangers had it in the farmers league.

To eradicate the vermin you have to cut off its food source which in the rags case is money, their tourist fan base will fuck off and support another club IMHO, it's not the 90's.

Ratcliffe is just maintaining his club’s tradition of not paying its debts. It’s the “United way” don’t you know.

He’s a long way short of world class. World class midfielder means players like Ya Ya Toure, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne, Nigel De Yonge, Phil Foden. It’s a long time since United had a truly great player.

I thought I’d put enough qualifiers in there to assuage someone such as yourself. Alas, not, no matter how blinkered your vision.

My vision is not blinkered at all, i will admit world class when the term is applicable but for him its not even applicable when you put quotation marks around it, even if you take out the moodiness and going missing constantly on a purely talent level he just simply isnt there and thats nothing to do with him playing for the rags or not, the term world class is banded about too loosely to be honest and there isnt that many world class players, kdb, yaya and silva were, currently in the pl salah and van disney were but have fallen off a bit this season, donnaruma is and phil could be, im not sure arsenal have one world class player albeit they do have some very very good players.
