I do think they will go for an interim until the end of the season once it becomes possible to sack Amorim without a big compensation figure.

I just don't see why Glasner or Iraola would leave mid-season when they could both have tremendous seasons with their current teams and maybe even be in the picture for jobs at Bayern, Madrid, Barca etc..who knows what can happen.

I can't see Ratcliffe getting Southgate. The fans don't want him and they sacked Ashworth because by all accounts he pushed for Southgate but in the end didn't align himself with the Berrada/ Wilcox vision which the club chose. Ratcliffe would look a right mug.

Ole until the end of the season I reckon.

Weather we agree with it or not.
Being manager at the swamp is still a attractive job obviously with a ridiculous amount of wages. Plus the added fact that if it all goes wrong they would still get big job offers.
Going off how scruffy Jim looks he doesn't mind looking like a right mug.

They finished closer in points to us last season than bottom despite being 15th. 17 points above relegation, down there, that is a chasm. If last season was replicated, they wouldn't just need 1 of the bottom 3 to have a decent run. Those that actually think its possible should lump on now and make an absolute fortune as the betting odds have them rank outsiders for something that a few here seem very confident in the possibility. They can pay for the party if the miracle did happen

Perhaps. I dont watch them to be honest. I think they've stood still after spending £200m which is a form of decline but not in points terms. I expect united to be hitting the 40-50 points range, high 30's if its especially bad. They've had probably the second toughest start and have 7 points from 6 games, even maintaining that rate, they're looking at 44-45 points which will see them stay up by a wide margin. For me, the issue is more there isn't enough teams down there good enough to better their tally and put them in the reckoning for the 3 worst teams

Interesting that an owner sponsoring his own club with an associated company is considered dodgy but sponsoring a rival but pulling out late leaving them unable to replace the sponsorship is ok. I’m not claiming that’s what happened but similar to shareholder loans, billionaires can influence in many ways.

I posted what he won compared to Phil and aske the question if rug head is a legend what is Phil ?
Also pointed out that his goals per game was shit, 1 in 4 compared to Segio who was 1 in 2.

It’s getting harder and harder to see how they dig themselves out of this malaise. They really do only have one player who anyone might call “world class” and he is a pouty fuck who barely shows up half the time. From there, a few players with promise, but there appears to be zero cohesion, little belief in the manager (who looks like he’s on suicide watch half the time), and an owner who screams “save money on the plebs!” while spunking £200M on a completely unproven forward line…having fucked off the last round of expensive forward talent and Rashford!

It’s going to take a serious manager, who can bring in a spine for the team to build around, strict standards of behavior and a playing style that even remotely suggests they might be able to turn the corner to become a European contender.

It looks like a serious challenge which I hope they are Ill-equipped to address!
