Cherki's looking sharp in that video, seems like he's dropped some weight too - what do you reckon?
Quite a bit I would say.

The team generally look fitter this season - I know that the CWC compromised our preseason, but I think the team’s levels have increased a bit.

If you read some of the stories about the change in coaching staff, it seems that the training left a bit to be desired last season, and you can’t get away with that these days.

For Monaco, I read that Camara, Zakaria, Golovin, Bamba, Pogba unlikely to play but Akliouche may return. I don't know what that means other than they have more injury problems than City.

Didn't realise Pogba was with them.

Pep spoke about Rodri in the press conference and says Rodri is OK but we have to manage his minutes as he recovers. Also said that City are being cautious with Cherki because they are wary that he may have a setback if he plays too soon.

Looking to have all players back after the international window.

He hasn't played yet. Minamino plays for them (ex. Liverpool).

I know very little about French football. Looking at their line-up for their last league game, there are not many players I know.
Brugge v Monaco was on the screens on the concourse at the Etihad before our Napoli game… Monaco were absolutely terrible!

But they are a better team at home in general. Last season they won twice as many home games as away in the league, and only lost 2 home games compared to 7 defeats away.

So far this season, they have won all 3 home games and lost 3 out of their 4 away games. Although, 2 of their 3 home games have been against teams in the bottom 4.

The key game to take note of - they beat Strasbourg (4th in the league, 3 points off the top) 4-3, with 2 late goals (90+6 and 90+11). They’ve also scored late in halves in other games (45+2 and 89 v Auxerre, 90+3 v Metz, 90+8 v Lorient, 90+1 v Brugge)… and we have conceded a fair few late goals this season (45+2 v Spurs, 89 v Brighton, 90+3 v Arsenal) so we need to be on our toes until the whistle goes in each half.

It's 7.06 and there is still not a single mention of Pep's News Conference on the BBC Sports website. Yet we are getting updates on Real Madrid vs Kairat. The BBC s no longer fit for purpose.

They haven’t been for many years. One of the biggest City hating sports desks in media… proper wankers!

I think we'll always look more vulnerable without Rodri in the side. We can beat Monaco without him, I'd be wrapping him in cotton wool for Brentford which is a tougher game than tomorrow night's.
Whilst I don't think it will be as easy as some are predicting, like yourself I would save Rodders for Sunday.

Hope pep looks at some of the lineups across the CL tonight and follows suit tomorrow. Teams are already starting to recognise the need to rotate heavily for these games, the benefits of doing so far outweigh any benefits of going as strong as possible every game if you don't need to.
