Will we win the league this season?

Not if we keep bottling it from winning positions away from home … Brighton, Arsenal and Monaco already this season.
Well imo we are one of the 3 best sides in the Premier League and we'll finish above Liverpool. This should be Arsenal's season but you never know.

I think we all knew at the start of this season that it was going to be hard work but I am pretty confident in Pep and I feel a lot more confident in this side that I did last season. Am I confident we'd beat PSG, Barcelona etc? No. Not yet but I am confident that Pep knows what he's doing and that City will evolve in a good way.

Foden and Doku have already taken big steps forward. After the international break we'll have Marmoush and Cherki to come in. Onwards and upwards with a few pitfalls along the way.

Brighton -conceded losing goal 89 minutes
Arsenal-conceded equaliser 94th minute
Monaco -conceded equaliser 91st minute

A worrying pattern is emerging where we are dropping late points where the likes of Arsenal and liverpool are often gaining late points. Furthermore, once we've conceded, the way we play we look more likely to concede again than go up the other end to score. Unless this trend is halted, we're really hoping for top 4 rather than a title challenge.

I think we will win it pissed off tonight especially persevering with Silva but thought we played a good European away game also thought the point at Arse was also a good marker this team is starting to come together just need Rodri fit and a real threat down the right and I’m sure we will be on for a good season

This new City seem to get a lead, appear comfortable, drift for a period and then pay the price.
Al Hilal
Brighton
Monaco

Will probably happen several more times before the seasons over too
You could argue that because we’re a couple of weeks behind conditioning wise we’re gonna struggle towards the end of games until we hit full fitness

Get Guehi in Jan. get Rodri fit. Hope cherki provides greater creative spark when fit and win a cup finish too 4. Can’t see us winning the league.

Rodri's fitness is crucial, but that's also assuming that he returns to his previous imperious self, and it was painful watching him struggle last night,. albeit with a view so poor that the bloke behind me was confusing Bernardo with Doku.

We will keep improving but I don't think in time to win the league this season. The dippers and tarquins have mentality/teething issues but both will pick up more points than us.

We still have fundamental issues and so many new players to get to the level we need them to perform at.

Last night should have been a comfortable win with dominance in possession but we are still prone to lengthy periods where we are under pressure and that will see us drop more points along the way until we have a more consistent level of performance and Pep knows what combinations best work to implement his tactics.

Our midfield is lacking steel and a really creative player, our defence has a bollock in them every match and if Haaland gets injured we are fucked.

No we are not winning the league or anything else for that matter.
We do not look like a title-winning side yet but we are progressing. We conceded 4 at Sporting last season and we drew 3-3 at home to Feyenoord.

We don't know what Rodri's potential is, but it would be reasonable to say that he could provide that steel, and Cherki, who has not played much, might be that creative player.

At the moment, Arsenal look like the best English side, but this time last season City looked very strong and the picture changed considerably through the season. At the moment, I feel we are progressing but I felt the result at Monaco was disappointing.

Meh, you miserable git. You forget we have Cherki and Marmoush to return, plus Reijnders will settle in as the season progresses. I think we have pretty much everything we need. It's just a case of whether we can get players back and settled in before the title is beyond our grasp.

To put it plainly we won’t challenge for the league or the champions league this year unless we find alternative goalscorers to support Haaland. I mean we have plenty of other issues too, but the stats for our goalscorers so far this season is hilarious.

Haaland 11
Esteve 2
Foden 2
Reijnders 1
Doku 1
Nunes 1
Cherki 1
Savinho 1

Burnley’s Esteve is our current second top scorer in all competitions behind Haaland. During our title winning seasons we had numerous goalscorers with around 4/5 getting over 10 goals in the premier league alone. We need other players to step up the goal returns big time.

Last nights draw to Monaco doesn’t happen if we kill them off but we can’t expect Haaland to score two goals every game, well maybe we can actually haha, but we need everyone else chipping in more!!

Too much silliness and naivity at the end of games for me, dont trust us to see close games out without something daft happening. We're only just starting October and there's already been:

Brighton (A) - Nunes raising his hands like an idiot to give away a pen to let Brighton back into the game. Then going on to completely collapse and lose.
Arsenal (A) - Just not keeping the ball and winding down the clock, using game and time management to just shut the door. Defended magnificently all game, looked like Arsenal weren't scoring in a month of Sundays, and we revert to a high line, lose the ball in midfield and they run in and score at the death.
Monaco (A) - Cruise control, albeit not being able to add to our lead, then we play into the arsehole ref's hands by giving him decisions to make near our box. Gonzalez, who did play well when he came on, flying in with high boot in the box giving the ref a lovely easy decision to award a pen.

Need to sort this out and learn to manage games better if we're going to challenge this season. You don't win leagues and cups by losing your bottle in the last 10 minutes.
