26 | Savinho - 2025/26

I’m convinced at some point he’s gonna disappear up his own arse.

The sort of constructive criticism you can expect after a decent sub outing from a player who's been out injured.

Whoever absolutely torched Savinho's PR this summer on Bluemoon/City twitter is a fearsome enemy to have.

Ferran soriano cost us 70 mil to hang on to his CFG dream. We could have had rodrygo :(

Yesterday he played his best minutes since returning to action. That doesn't mean he was good, but it was better.

It would be good to put him in the position where he performed best for us last year, that is, on the right, instead of having to deal with Bernardo for 97 minutes.

I really don't like him on the left wing. Makes the whole team very unbalanced. Was probably the only sub Pep had to rest Doku before the weekend though.

“INJURED”

“INJURED”

Isn't this debunked? He didn't force a move, he's kissing the badge and getting a new contract.

Maybe he was just injured?

The hate he's getting for being a 21 year old who was OK with having his wages quadrupled and potentially being the face of the world's 9th richest club is so forced.

No one seemed to have a problem with him last season.

Him being 21 is not a licence for him to consistently underperform.

Using his age as an excuse as to why he’s not at the required level might be ok if he was showing signs of improvement or that he’s learned from last season but we’re just seeing the same things over and over from him. His work rate is non existent and his body language is poor at best.

I hope he proves me wrong but I think it will turn out a mistake to have not taken the money for him from spurs. I just do not see the potential for him to ever succeed in the prem.
He's also just come back from injury. If he was as bad as people like u make out do you really think Pep would play him? People like yourself are quick to forget that Savinho was our best player for the first 3 months last season.

I can't wait till he proves people like you wrong, it'll be another player to add to the list. Then you can all find your next victim. It's pathetic.

Again… this never happened! Spurs bid £43m, we turned it down and said he’s not for sale. Spurs never bid again. Some journo said Spurs were prepared to offer £70m yet there’s no evidence that was true. The insecure fringe of our fanbase saw its arse because Savinho took a picture of a pool table with a suitcase in the background that could have been there from a weekend shopping trip in Paris that he hadn’t put back in the loft, for all we know.

Rodrygo is already 24, he’ll be 25 in January, and he’s making less impact as each year passes. He got 5 goals and 6 assists last season, that’s fewer combined than Savinho got.

Alonso has clocked he’s average and of Madrid’s 9 games this season he’s started just 2, come off the bench as a late sub in 5 and been left on the bench in 2. This is not a player we should be pining for. We’ve got a potentially better player in Savinho who is 3-4 years younger.

Rodrygo also wants to play left wing (every minute he’s played this season has been on the left), which is where Doku plays, so what would be the point in signing him?

As I’ve said earlier nothing against the guy but will never be good enough for a top tier team aspiring to be on a par with the likes of Bayern Liverpool Madrid Barca etc because isn’t that what we are aiming to get back to and I’m sorry but savinho doesn’t get anywhere near our treble or centurions team and should be the bar . Wouldn’t give him a new contract as he hasn’t deserved it .

I thought exactly the same, lets hope he leaves a lot of us eating the pie
Shhhh you can't go around and say anything positive as the experts on here have said he is not good enough and decided he is the new boo-boy.

The lad is 21, he has come back from injury and yet still gets pelters. I hope that he kicks on as I think he will be a top player once he gets his confidence and form

Experts? Idiots more like.

They were saying the same thing about Doku last season.
