I can't get my head around how a collection of people can be vilified so much through out the world,both historically and in modern times.

What I don't understand, or can find, is any concrete reason why.

In Prague earlier on in the year....went to the national museum learning about the history and there was always a small community of Jews. All of a sudden, for no apparent reason they were turned on. I even doubled back to to check and the reasons were very vague.

I understand that religious ideologies play a significant part - but it's always the Jews that seem to get persecuted and shunned.

I don't consider myself to be ignorant, but it absolutely baffles me and makes me sad.

A fair few showing their colours on this and the police doc thread. They definitely have half empty cans of red paint in their garages and live near roundabouts.

Fear. The Jewish community is historically close knit, and they’ve always looked after their own. They’ve usually always been very successful financially and economically. I suppose the way they keep themselves to themselves has always made them ‘outsiders’ to those of the Christian faith (and others), especially when they’ve always been a minority faith in every country (with the exception of Israel, which has only officially existed for less than a century).
In a way, they’ve always been an ‘easy target’ for jealousy.

Fair enough. This is an emotive thread, from which I’m bailing as it’s drastically derailed from what it should be.

Perhaps surprisingly in Germany in the late 20s early 30's it was their desire to try and be socially accepted into society and their displays of wealth which caused resentment/ dislike amongst the establishment. Too late they realised they would never be accepted as Germans as well as being Jewish

A plausible theory. It's weird though and bloody infuriating as well. I suppose the answer lies with the haters and their false claims.

When the Assyrians wiped out Israel over 700 years BC, they had done similar to Tyre where Lebannon is and the Phoenician's fled and colonised Carthage a hundred years earlier.

Carthage lasted over 650 years before being wiped out by Rome.

in the early Iron age the Assyrians emerged as a world super power in the age of empires. Rome too was a super power for centuries and not shy about invading and killing half the known world.
