Brentford (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not sure which club you expect me to write to? Given what happened to Dodge Brentford are going to do absolutely fuck all, City as it not being their stewards will be able to do fuck all. They can get away with it, and will continue to do so
Brentford are the club to complain to, they were hosting the event/match ..... but although they probably employ the stewards, any security company used at their ground could be a different matter.

If you complain to City, they will have to contact Brentford, one way or the other, to progress any complaint ...

I think it will probably fall on 'deaf ears' at Brentford though, as they will probably just point out that it's in everybodys interest to be searched to ensure a trouble free afternoon!

I suppose they have to check ..... I suppose you could possibly be carrying a small penknife, or small dart maybe in a wallet, etc , if you were so inclined, i don't know .... but we do live in violent and uncertain times.

So long as they don't take the wallet off you for longer than is absolutely necessary, and its all done within plain sight of yourself, it's probably best to just let them get on with it .... that's what I'd do anyway, at least that way I'd get to see the match on time!

Kicking off with stewards or security staff is always a loser, because they're only doing a job they have to do.
With friends like that ...

Yes, FFS.

That’s alright then, it’s ok for some twat to speak to me and treat me like an absolute piece of shit for no reason then, fucking hell

They should always treat people with curtesy, but we all know what some people are like once they get a job with a bit of authority, or when they get a bit of 'power' etc !

I'd have been in the same boat probably, had I been able to get a ticket for the game, but what can we really do ?

Complaining to Brentford FC might earn us a general apology from the customer service there etc, but I doubt they will really investigate how their stewards or security staff perform, unless they feel they have exceptionally good reason to .... maybe a serious complaint made to police, or a steward has struck someone etc .

If you complain to MCFC, all they can do is raise the issue to Brentford ..... but what good did all the clubs complaints in Turkey do after the Champions League final and the treatment of City fans there ... or the complaints made by City to Liverpool regarding some of the 'carryings on' at Liverpool/City matches in recent seasons???

Who “kicked off with a steward”? I verbally and non aggressively asked what he expected to find in my tiny credit card sized (in all dimensions, the 3 cards only just fitted in) wallet? He spoke to me in a rude, disgusting and provocative manner, for no reason at all. It couldn’t have been less like “kicking off”. Stop making shit up, and ideally stop speaking it

I'm just generalising mate, and you're probably old enough to know it too ..... anyway why not try complaining to one of the clubs involved then, if you are so convinced I'm talking rubbish ????

Against a team playing at home after they had a week off?
Yes, I really think so. It is a situation that we'll (hopefully) be encountering after Christmas, so what can we expect then?

Well there you go then, that says it all ... the club are well aware of the 'robust searching process', and to get the ball rolling, there HAS to be a complaint made to Brentford FC then about their stewards behaviour.

Are they, though? Every young keeper these days is training with the ball at their feet more than ever
Maybe The Don himself will be, now he's here?

He's had a terrific effect upon the team already. I mean, there's no doubt who's the boss in our area, is there? The distance on his punches is impressive, too.

Good find, hope they get reported and binned off, don't need people like that at football.

You've GOT to complain to BRENTFORD mate .... and their 'Operations team' will deal with it.

By text or email it's suggesting, seeing as you aren't face to face with any of their stewards anymore ....... but you could write to, or phone them i suppose, if you preferred doing it that way.

A drop off in performance as we usually get?

The difference this time being is we're not the City of the last few seasons. We're a new team in transition, so a degree of context, realism & understanding regarding our performances is required.

Get it all down in writing and get in touch with Brentford mate and make it all about his attitude and language rather than the process itself.

The searching is all well and good (I suppose), but the antagonistic, baiting behaviour is a totally different matter.

This c*** needs to be knocked down a peg or two, he's a steward acting like he's the boss and he needs a course in public relations at the very least. There are ways of doing what they have to do and he definitely doesn't know how to do it.

Get him reprimanded sharpish. Sounds like he was a right cock.

If you'd of told me after the Brighton game that we'd batter the scum, draw at Goons and Monaco away and win the others, not only would I of bitten your hand off, I'd of put salt n pepper on it and enjoyed it. Great last few weeks :)

Are you insane? He is an absolute goalkeeping god, his one to one save was brilliant, his command of the area and punching magnificent, his footwork is absolutely fine and will improve with City. Oh and I forgot to mention, he is the best goalkeeper in the world and we are lucky to have him

It's not entirely insane.

I was happy to see Ederson go, felt it was time and the benefit we got from his footballing skills was dropping, while he didn't make enough saves. Donnarumma is way better and more commanding as a traditional keeper, yes. I do wonder though if we would have been under a lot less pressure in the 2nd half if we still had Ederson's distribution helping us control the game.

Time will tell I guess. Maybe his footwork and his understanding with the defence will improve, or maybe teams will shut down any passing options and cause mistakes. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with him so far, but I dont think it's insane to ask questions still.
