This is very true but even Pep and City make mistakes. Look a Phillips for example

Every season it's a running joke between me and the missus as to which player I have in my doghouse- some seasons they come and go but for this one it's easy as it's Savinho.

He looks like a boy among men out there- his mincing around falling over screaming makes me angry. I wish he had whatever Ederson has in terms of grit- they must have grown up in completely different parts of Brazil. I'd roll with Eddy though the darkest streets- I wouldn't trust Savi to keep his milk money visiting a local kid's school.

I love to be proven wrong and I hope he does- but cannot understand how we shove a new contract in front of him.

We probably wouldn’t have been able to get the replacement we wanted. Having him an extra year (at least) also puts his wages more in line with the average member of the squad and probably stops him bringing down the mood in the camp etc.
 
I've been critical of him but was watching some of his Girona highlights and the problem is just confidence IMO.

Confidence to pull off tricks and first time passes, get past people, take shots on etc.

He's got all the raw ingredients just needs to believe in himself (and track back more)

Amazes me that some people still think by extending a players contract will guarantee he is worth more.

Its actually the opposite he is so fu ck ing wa nk the more he players the less we would get.

I said much the same when we signed Raheem Sterling. I felt there was no way we were going to lose money on him, and we didn't.

We're discussing Savinho now though, and he's absolutely nowhere near as good as Raheem was when we signed him, and I don't see any signs to make me think he'll improve.

Just my opinion, but I think he's a lazy player.

If he wants to nail down a starting spot in the side Doku is light years ahead of him on the left, Marmoush can play there as well. If it’s the right flank Bobb looks like he has a higher ceiling in technique and intelligence and Cherki could also play there as well.

The out put of our wide players has dropped off significantly in goals and assists since we had the likes of Mahrez, Sterling and Sane here. If the club wants to be competing for the big prizes it shouldnt all be on Haaland to find the net. I can see the club going into the market next summer if it doesn’t improve.
 
Of course, all those writing Savinho off are wrong.

He'll come good. I don't mean in 1-2 years. I mean this season.
