Takeaways who only take cash

Not had time to shop today so ordered a Chinese takeaway from a busy place in Timperley. She gave me the price over the phone. Went to collect it 10 mins later and in getting my wallet out (the same one that caused so many issues for the brentford stewards test) was told “oh it’s cash only”. I didn’t take cash out cos she hadn’t told me it was cash only and I hadn’t been there before, so I left the takeaway with no food and she was left with 2 meals to eat. We all know the real reason some of these places are cash only - tax dodging bastards, we know what you are
Would you be as arsed if you had a tradesmen ask for cash for doing a job?

Tax dodging ? Makes me laugh you people worry about takeaway getting away with it when we had people wasting millions of tax money on faulty PPI stuff, unbelievable.

No they take next to nothing. Card transactions show how much trade they are doing though, cash doesnt. Tax fiddle
Our local Chinese writes the order on a pad with carbon paper rips off the top copy and sends it out the back. When the order is ready the top copy is turned over and another order written on it in plain sight

As an ex taxi driver I knew that the £9 fare was actually £8-70 when paid by card, there was never any tip, or generally £10 with the usual round up by the customer when paying cash.
The amount of money being siphoned off by the banks out of the economy with card transactions must be mind boggling yet so many think it's the right thing to do. You've been brainwashed. Lose cash at your peril because it won't end well.
What noticed recently on local shops signs saying any lottery purchases must be cash only. They except card payments from as little as £3 but no lottery

Had some instances as a taxi driver where the customer has asked to pay by card and there's no signal for the card reader! It's not a difficult concept to actually have some cash in your wallet or purse. I'd pick up customers to take them to the train station for their ride back to London and they wouldn't have a penny on them, good luck when the cash points etc. go down.

Had occasion to use the local bus yesterday and the card reader went down, I don't pay for my bus journeys but it caused quite the fuss.

Think you’ve missed it’s actually a brothel mate. The takeaway bit is a front.

Exactly the same near me. I only eat the shit twice a year though so I couldn't care less if they're fiddling £4 tax. I imagine they'd have to either put their prices up or cut back on portion size or quality if they were to pay it. Let's face it I run a business and I won't be footing any tax or NI hikes that'll be unfortunately on the customers bill. Capitalism. Load of bollocks
Im not sure they do it to give an extra spring roll.

Talking of spring rolls, when did they start filling them with shit cabbage instead of beansprouts?

And what's the big difference between a chop suey roll and a spring roll?

What happened to the ubiquitous banana and pineapple fritters they all used to sell?

It's not exactly a new thing.
Tradesman,takeaways,chippy's,garage repairs,hairdressers,nail bars.
Am surprised scruffy jim isn't doing the same at the swamp.
Small time. Scruffy Jim has far more elaborate tax dodging schemes than that, and he's notoriously one of the biggest tax dodgers in the UK.

All good questions although I've never had a banana or pineapple fritter, I generally find Chinese but especially Indian deserts to be shite.
