This is what they do in Ireland due to a housing shortage. Now people are complaining about ''Tent Cities''
The problem with this is that there is a fundamental issue of a lack of sanitation , cooking facilities and safety around the pitching of tents in any kind of location

5) Not only that but a small minority of those who arrive treat British girls as though they are prostitutes who always say yes.

I understand your concern with this point, however would point out that the majority of grooming and rapes in the UK are committed by the indigenous population.

6) Local communities where this happens are angry and NOBODY in power is listening.

People are listening... the difficulty that the Labour party has is the huge backlog of asylum applications created by the last Government. (119000) When Labour left power there were !8600 outstanding applications.... the backlog was created by the Tories sacking over 5000 case workers out of a total of 8000. This caused the huge backlog now being faced and why they are in housed in hotels.

This figure has now reduced to 70532 (June 2025 figures) however if you include applications for their dependents this figure rises to 90812.

A total of 9100 have been forcibly deported

Because of this and family / community connections people choose the UK .

Brexit also scrapped our participation in the Dublin 2 agreement which meant that if the applicant failed in his application for asylum in the UK we could return them to the initial country of entry / registration. So , in a way , Farage is proposing a solution for a problem that he created (usual right wing tactic ).

It wouldn't make any difference.

The folk whose mind you would have to change are not in a listening mood, any attempt to do so would sound like more of the same bullshit to them, they just want it done even though they'd have difficulty defining what that "it" is. So they flock to those who define "it" for them, whose message is simple, they'll get it done by whatever means and that short punchy bullshit, free of the harsh realities of actual delivery, sounds just great to them.

The people flocking to Robinson and Farage believe they've been lied to, over and over, and in truth they have, any nuanced solution will sound like more deception. The traditional parties have no political capital with these folk, that's why they're willing to throw their lot in with grifters and liars, even though a fair few of them have their suspicions about Robinson and Farage.

If you think of it as a big fuck you to both Labour and Conservative governments, particularly over the last thirty years, you'd not be too far off the mark.

I still maintain the hope that the British don't take politics and its divisive issues seriously enough to make a bad mistake like they have over there: polls and local elections mean nothing when people actually vote.

But I have been out of the country a long time and there are an increasing number of weird people on this forum so maybe I am hopelessly out of date.

Interesting that Yaxley Lennon is now blaming a section of UK Jews for "open borders". Isn't this anti-Semitism???!
Obviously he is close to Israel as is this character Gomez from America with her very hardline rhetoric. Both being used by Israel to spread virulent hatred of Muslims to try and make up some ground in the propaganda war and also to try and nudge Britain closer to a civil war.
