Bradford City’s football ground, Valley Parade, has been the home of Rugby League champions twice. Firstly, with that inaugural Manningham title win in 1896, as well as Bradford Bulls who were Super League champions when they played there in 2001 while Odsall was being redeveloped.

It’s never seen a football league title though.

It did see a side achieve promotion in 1989, as well as 2025

And probably several other occasions.

Pope John Paul II was a goalkeeper in his younger days.

Although, amazingly he’d never heard of the rags, and told them to "fuck off!" when they visited Rome to see him in his later career.

And became a bit of a City fan when we signed Kazimierz Deyna.
 
SS Manchester City was the name of three ships operated by Manchester Liners, one of which was a steamship built in 1898 and another a cargo vessel built in 1937, both named after the football club.Given that they operated out of Salford docks,our history trail is close to Old Trafford geographically,in this case.Interestingly the build dates are close to our inception as a club and our first league title,perhaps acknowledging our formation and success.

Since the start of 2016/17, City have had the most penalties in the Premier League. Surprised at that. It's not even close either,
