The Labour Government

You don’t want to answer the question then?
Not really. Starmer being confident in releasing full disclosure and seeing Badenoughs face tells me what I need to know.

I only really watch PMQs these days to watch Badenough make a complete tit of herself, and she never disappoints.

Must be killing the Tory boys to know that they were a catastrophe in Government and now, even worse in opposition.

Will take years, probably decades for them to recover.

You're right. Tesco, one of the biggest companies moaning about the rise in NI, have taken the opportunity to raise prices to cover the NI increase, but at the same time increasing their profit margin. So much for not wanting to pass on the costs imposed on them by government.

Waitrose seem to be experts at having a deal on products for a week or so and then when they come off sale they are at a higher price than pre-sale.

The supermarkets have also doubled profit margins on petrol and diesel since 2022. Non-supermarket retailers have done similar but not by quite as much.

So when of the RW criticisers on here moan about the government this, the government that( Yes you Big Joe) maybe try having a look at the real cause of much of the inflation.

The causes of their price increases are irrelevant- it still creates inflation.

Now if you think it’s a big collusion by the supermarkets with no fundamental rationale for said price increases across the various supermarkets then time to write to our local MPs and ask government to step in because that would be illegal.

His use of snippets of speeches was both desperate and misleading, and his delivery was especially poor. Stammering, uncertain and unconvincing.

The suggestion that the collapse of the case rested solely on the decisions of a middling civil servant is frankly ludicrous and his story changes everyday. Meetings that were initially denied are now admitted to have occurred and the timescale around what he claims to have known and when will change as well. Just like it did in the Mandelson affair in fact.

Why he expects anyone to believe a word he says at this stage is a bit of a mystery, but the stooges on here will doubtless lap it up.
Try having a listen to LBC where they played all of what Badenoch said on the matter.

But as we all know BKB

Bit odd.

My post discussed what Starmer said today at PMQs, how the government’s account of the China spy case has had several coach and horses driven through it over the past few weeks and questioned why anyone would believe anything Starmer says.

Your response to that is that I need to listen to LBC so I can hear what left wing weirdo James O’Brien has to think about Kemi Badenoch.

Strange. Perhaps you should spend less time listening to LBC and more time thinking for yourself.

I think a lot of people simply do not grasp the system.

I used to have an elderly relative who fretted about paying tax on her savings. (She was absolutely loaded.) No matter how often I explained that, at worst, the tax would be on the interest, not the capital, she could not take it in. I might as well have been speaking in Mandarin for all the good it did.
Did she have A-level English?

He quoted what Badenoch had said at the time. I was actually reponding to your:

" The sight of a British PM deliberately taking out of context snippets relating to China from ministerial speeches"

LBC put the comments she made into context.

Apparently everyone who has a different view to BKB is either a left wing weirdo, or in my case last week a needy left winger.

PMQ was on as I took a nice drive to Winchester and it was actually the LBC political editor who stated that Badenoch's performance was about as bad as it has been since she bcame leader. But as we all know BKBs views are often detached from reality.
