President Trump

Which shouldn’t happen as it’s unlawful, but positive discrimination shouldn’t then happen as a result of that as it’s also unlawful.
You’re right, is IS unlawful. So that puts to bed “white men can’t apply for jobs” or that white men have it harder.

Test it yourself, send out a dozen applications, 6 in the name of Hamid Yousef Baghdadi and 6 in the name of Sebastian Fitz-Henley and see which gets more replies.

Oh, those Fitz- Henleys I wouldn’t trust them with a barge pole.

Yet he wasn't. If you can say one thing he said which was racist I will go with. He didn't. He was 100% right when it came to EDI and right on other things too, not everything but a lot of it.
No he was virtually always wrong. Always a ****. Usually a racist and the world is better off without his vitriol although he didn’t deserve to die. Now who killed him is a whole other can of worms other than to say it most definitely didn’t happen as per the FBI’s explanation.

Again somebody unable to provide one example of him being racist. Somebody who will have never watched any full clip, in context and took a snippet of one instead and made a new truth. He allowed others to express their opinions in an open forum. The last thing you'd label of a nazi as he is often called. Nazis silence people, similar to the treatment he received. Now I agree on the killer and not being convinced of what happened, as per his black FRIEND Candace Owens is unraveling.

Again, one lines from often quite lengthy debates. As I said in the first post, he also said it about the NBA and how there shouldn't be EDI to include more white players, because the standards will drop. Nobody has said that is racist to white people have they, because it is just obvious. That was his point with the pilot, if an airline was starting to employ other people based on their ethnicity rather than their skill, he would hope that the black pilot was the best person possible, rather than flying his plane to fill a quota. That was an exaggerated point to prove a point, but the point stands no matter which race or which way round the best person should get the job.

I will be honest, prior to his death I was unsure over him, liked some of what he said, disagreed with others but solely from short edited clips. The full clips of these debates are out there for people to educate themselves fully. I still don't agree with it all, but I know he isn't close to the many things the lunatic lefties level at him.

As an aside, I never comprehended before visiting the US just how ingrained racism is in the culture there, far different to the UK.

I can't readily read between the lines in the same way, but to US citizens, the various dogwhistles to white supremacy used by the far right in general and Charlie Kirk in particular are well understood, I think.

Kirk's more explicit racism is part of the increased willingness to bring out into the open what has been historically forbidden but understood.

You see the same in everyday behaviours in the UK these days, sadly.

Racist one lines, which you asked for evidence of. You have it.
But they aren't racist are they. Saying if he boarded a flight and the pilot was black he would think he hopes he's qualified? As a line that sounds racist, in the context of the whole conversation it is not is it. But you are proving the point, you aren't bothered about facts even when they are explained. You are magnifying one sentence around a lengthy debate. Every point I list are ignored so it is pointless, your mind is made up. I just challenged you to educate yourself.

It's racist because the only reason he's wondering if the pilot is qualified is because he's black. If the pilot wasn't black he wouldn't be questioning their competency therefore by definition it's racist. It's really very fucking simple. The extra "well this is the context blah blah blah" is just horseshit.

Your example is obviously wrong and if them people were qualified then they of course should have been interviewed and appointed.

I do not agree with EDI in the slightest though. As you and the poster says, it should absolutely be the best person for the role. I have applied for jobs recently and to keep reading how certain people get an automatic interview is a piss take. They may not be remotely qualified and get to waste everybodys time with an interview. Of course there needs to be equal opportunities but ultimately the best person for the job should get it.

I work in education and if there is a learner who may require additional support, that support is given to level it out. You cannot then give an advantage to them dependent on the level of support provided, alterations are given to ensure they have the equal opportunity as others. EDI gives others an unfair advantage. Charlie Kirk got battered for his pilot comments, which he explained since but people did not want to hear it and he was 100% right. The same way he flipped it and said if the NBA included EDI and said a certain percentage of players had to be white, the standards would slip. It isn't rocket science.
Charlie Kirk wasn't right with his pilot comments. We were led to believe he was an intelligent young man debating from a position of good faith; if that were the case, then he should have understood an airline or aviation agency would never hire a pilot based on the colour of their skin. It's a very demanding role that requires a rigourous skillset, moreover, you are beholden to hundreds of lives a week.

His "understanding" of DEI was flawed and deliberately reframed. My organisation wouldn't hire an electrical engineer based on the colour of their skin, a hospital wouldn't hire a surgeon based on the colour of their skin, a chambers wouldn't hire a barrister based on the colour of their skin, etc. That's not how DEI works. Any quotas that do exist within a DEI initiative are aimed at mostly menial roles. If Kirk was as smart as some on here thought, then he wouldn't have peddled the bullshit, unfounded concern of a black pilots being unqualified.

He was a professional antagonist who knew exactly what he was doing.

I think he was just misunderstood!!

It is 100 percent racist if you know anything about how pilots qualify to fly airplanes, which I do, but apparently you and Charlie Kirk don’t. Using it as “an example” is precisely what makes it racist, not to mention inconceivably stupid.

Of course it’s a lengthy debate — read “The Diversity Bonus”, which is a scientific analysis of jobs that benefit from programs like AA or diversity pursuits and those that don’t. Here’s a hint for you and Charlie — airline pilot isn’t one of them because of the rigorousness of the qualification standards.

Your point isn’t ignored, it is considered and rejected. I am so motherfucking goddamn tired of the moaning when someone rejects an idea or argument — oh, woe is you, you’re so put upon. Come up with better fucking arguments if you want people to listen.
