If NG is 50/50 I’d play him still we can’t go into the Villa game away for the 3d season running without a number 6 or we will struggle to win!

If Nico Gonzalez is not available then this is my line up

___________________________Donarrumma__________________________

Nunes_______________Dias_________________Gvardiol_________O'Reilly

______________________Bernardo________Kovacic__________________

Cherki_______________________Foden_____________________Doku

____________________________Haaland_________________________

Donnarumma
Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly
Nico
Bernardo
Reijnders
Foden
Savinho
Haaland

Bernardo central next to Nico, reijnders as the 10, Foden off the right, Savinho left.

You can hit villa hard on transitions, a start similar to the Arsenal game could be fruitful for us but obviously without it descending into the all out back 10 of the second half.

Foden central is getting better and better, also linking with Haaland, I wouldn't do anything that interupts that progress,

Emery's going to want to get their game done early tonight, at least avoid defeat. Be interesting if he plays a strong team.

I’d love to see Cherki given a start but suspect he’ll feature in the starting eleven when we’re at home against a ‘lesser’ side.

Would take a draw.

Villa in good form, Villa Park a tough place to go - especially for us in recent years. D L L is our recent record there.

I said in the summer - and I stand by it - that this season is just about keeping the vibes good, rather than winning the league.

A comfortable top 4 finish would be fantastic and set a foundation to go one step further next season. This will be a 16/17 repeat.

A spirited performance and a draw would be absolutely fine. We're entering a tough run of games and staying unbeaten would be great.

I’d take a draw but that will put us 5 points behind Arsenal who will win there next few easier games! I think we capable of winning the league but I see Arsenal so so strong in all departments that we will have to get 90+ points for me to win the league.. feeling is if Arsenal are 6/8 points in front with 8 games left they’ll go on and win it just because the team look lot more mature and they’ve learned a lot over the last 3/4 years

Rain kit time?
I’ve noticed that Brentford have worn Sky blue at Villa and West Ham numerous times in the last few years:

(I know West Ham haven’t got sky blue sleeves this season though).

Forest last season n’all:

So maybe we can just wear our home kit on Sunday?

They haven't learnt to stop talking have they. The amount of knob headed Arse fans who shout that they've won it already is hilarious.

Going to be difficult this, they've given us the run around on our last two visits to Villa Park and are starting to find their form. Hope Gonzalez is fit, otherwise the midfield might be a lightweight (assuming Rodri isn't going to be available).

Would be nice.

Probably justify an away kit saying the white sash is a clash.
