I think our weakness now is that we don't have exceptional wingers & attacking midfielders.

Hopefully Doku & Savio will improve this season and save the club from spending +100 to find alternatives.

agree, winger end product is still biggest weakness, tbf that counts towards everyone apart from Haaland

For me Doku shift to play centrally has elevated his game, but he still needs to learn to create he's shot and place them

we have plenty of att mids - Foden, Tijjani, Cherki, Marmoush, Bobb even plays there sometimes

Foden seems to be back to he's best, i would not be surprised if Tijjani suddenly starts bringing Gundo style goals starting January, Cherki will have more minutes and be big impact for further games

RBs seems like sorted rn with Khusanov emergence and Nunes getting he's shit together

i think another midfielder as in box2box midfielder would elevate us further

Took a look at that video and a few more. Also looked at Nico Paz. Smit looks far better. I'd certainly take a gamble on him.

Not sure Smit is much of a gamble. He looks thd type going places regardless.

He played both on the right and left last season. Like 40% left and 60% right He is both footed so it doesn’t really matter where he plays. But if we go for the inverted route then having another LW would be nice. Currently it’s savinho/ Bobb and Doku. Bobb can only play on the right while savinho‘s future is also on the right. Not having an actual right footed competitor for Doku isn’t good

Not one in their right mind goes to Barca though and Madrid have loads of players already? We will be losing more in January and the summer so should be in what a great shout imo

Although we do need to strengthen midfield the issue is with Smit is we already have Nypan out on loan for starters who too has tonnes of potential. Would be cheaper than buying directly from a Premier League club perhaps an older signing as that extra player.
