Players who might improve us

Just a goalscorer (hopefully Haaland) and an aggressive centre back to replace Laporte.

If we finish just one more chance per game, given how good we already are, we’d be almost unbeatable regardless of the odd fuck up at the back.

But when those fuck ups come it’s usually Laporte. I think he’s ok but mentally weak for a top centre half. I want a player who'd rather break an opponent’s leg than let them score. Someone with the attitude to defending of Adams, Terry, or a whole litany of aggressive Italian defenders from yesteryear. That attitude.
 
Personally like us to sign a rb to back up Walker as I think cancelo is better at lb, a couple of real athletic cm types (rice/Bellingham would be ideal) so we can play 4 2 3 1 with kdb in the 10 as I think we need to be more pragmatic to succeed in Europe and obviously a striker.

We will instead no doubt sign a slow technically gifted midfielder who can play on the wing as well as cam

Im not giving up on Stones,but Rudiger alongside Dias would have been awesome.We need similar in midfield too.
 
Lots of work to be done this summer imo. Much will depend on who is going.

Haaland and Alvarez are excellent starts. IMO a midfielder (Fern/Gundy) replacement is an underrated need.

We could use another FB to spell Walker and Cancelo.

We really need some attacking quality on the bench. Often when we're chasing a goal, there's no obvious choice to throw on. A pacey winger with an eye for goal would be fantastic. Hopefully Palmer can be that guy but too often we dont have a plan B.

Im assuming Raz is off sadly and he's never been overly effective off the bench.

Alvarez will be the pace option off the bench. Another if raz goes though.
 
I’ve had a Liverpool fan telling me today how they’ve already done a deal for Bellingham to joint them next summer, he said Dortmund said no for this summer
 
We need more pace, Haaland is apparently quicker than Mbappe for top speed so a really good start. The ball over the top would become a viable option.
