Villa will tire early in the second half. Pep won't change much until 60-70 . Certainly need to improve. First 10 mins were very good but then Villa came into it. Need to get level and then defend it. Mentality is key.

Villa haven’t even been good but have dominated us in every department.

I know. Like every opponent against us now, I think every time they break they will score.

If ever we get the ball, on the frequent occasion Erl doesn't gey it, I think slow, slow, quick, slow pass pass, lose possession ( Savinho) opposition intercept, break and worry again they will score. Rinse and repeat.

It's about time we turned up for a second half. This is my fault its the only game I stupidly cast my vote as a win!

Opening 10 mins aside, that was fucking abysmal.

If this was our midfield 3 every week, we would struggle to finish top half. You’ve got Bernie running around like a headless chicken. Stones can’t move and Reijnders hasn’t been seen for 2 months. I’m really starting to take issue with him. The guy is fucking invisible and the only time he stands out is when he’s making half-arsed attempts to challenge or “run” back into position.

I have no idea what is happening with our wingers. Doku has somehow gone from the only wide threat we have, to on the bench and replaced by 2 guys who consistently produce the grand sum of fuck all. Bobb is a nice footballer but he’s all fart and no shit. As for Savinho, I am convinced he’s the reason why we now have so many kits, we are trying every fucking colour to see if there’s any chance he can find a City player in one of them.

Big changes needed at HT but I expect there will be none made.

We should’ve been 1-0 up in the first 10 minutes, but honestly, Foden and Savio can’t complete a simple pass to save their lives. It’s pathetic. So many easy chances to play someone through and they bottled every single one. This is exactly why Foden will never be a real world-class midfielder as he takes too long to think, by the time he decides to pass the chance is gone. Bobb might as well not even be on the pitch. Savio and Bobb need to come off right now. Get Cherki, Marmoush and Doku on or we’re never scoring today. I can bet on it.

We’re fortunate to get in at 1-0 down. Villa are a decent side and our good first half performances are now down to a good 10 minutes. The master plan is surely to be good in the second half - Villa (and us on the match day thread) won’t be expecting that.

Last 2 league games Haaland has been played in by Cherki twice and today Foden. Wonderful passes which Haaland has wasted. No doubt he's a great goalscorer but Messi probably scores 3.

From what I have seen of him so far yes I think he would have an impact on the game. He's always looking for the ball and to make a forward pass. He's also much stronger on the ball than foden bobb savinho and reijnders

What have we got to lose, we’re creating fuck all so some kind of spark might pay off?
