A big miss in the first half (although give Martinez some credit). Villa did marshall Haaland for the rest of the game. At times our players do seem to be on a different wavelength but it is not down to the overall quality. Accept the rough with the smooth and most of the time we do get it spot on.

I’ve said it multiple times on here. I’d love to know what we said to him for him to sign that contract. I bet they didn’t mention half the players that they’ve signed in the last 4 years and that Savinho/Bobb will be the ones supplying you.

We were so incredibly fortunate that he signed that deal and not because he will be here for 10 years, but because he has guaranteed us maximum value, when he inevitably thinks ‘fuck this’.

Not great today but he's dragged us to several wins this season already and he should be allowed to have an off day here and there without it always costing us. A few other players need to start scoring goals.

prime Sane and Sterling also had prime David Silva and De Bruyne next to them , don´t have anything close to these 4 atm , maybe Cherki could hit something similar ,but not much hope for others.

I’m not sure it was his back that was injured. Sliding into the post when he scored the goal, given offside, I think he hurt “Bob and the twins”;)

That contract guarantees him a living for it’s entirety. It also helps us to get a fee if we sell him prior to the end of it. Nothing more. He can leave when he decides.
